QUOTE(afadzil21 @ May 14 2013, 07:01 PM) Link: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/blog This I like Ok, I'm a bit of a WASD fan especially since they use Costar. Waiting for the V2 to get my own fully customised (because I'm too lazy to do it myself and can afford to pay for someone else to customise it) WASD keyboard. |

QUOTE(kyrmian @ May 14 2013, 09:25 PM) I think this is WASD's first LED backlit keyboard. Haven't seen anything about them having one before. But since I'm still new to this, I could be wrong. I know the Storm Trigger uses Cherry style stabilisers instead of Costar due to the backlighting issue. WASD may have solved the problem. Well just have to wait for the 'Code' to come out and see how it is I guess. I don't think I'll be buying the first batch as I'd rather wait and see what others have to say before I buy one myself. Anyone with Topre's by the way? I read that they feel more like rubber dome than like mechanical. Don't really like the feel of rubber dome anymore since I've been using a mechanical regularly. Would like to see how the rich people feel about their uber expesive Topre's... EDIT: I forgot. The Mionix Zibal 60 also features backlit design by Costar. I have no idea what kind of stabilisers though. This post has been edited by afadzil21: May 14 2013, 09:40 PM |

No, the LED on the caps lock, num lock when you enable them. Those LED are like lasers, shoot through the wall. Cannot say rich people feel about their uber expensive topre.. these people might have sold all their MX board because they prefer Topre. You say like that, later offend people only. Qoute from WASD's blog, "The biggest complaint about the V1 was the brightness of the LEDs. We switched over to a lower intensity red LED and made the LED holes only 1.5mm wide. The LED is recessed so the light is very subtle." |

QUOTE(ainuddin @ May 14 2013, 10:17 PM) Yeah. True, that's why I was trying to get a Keycool 84. Apparently their only available in MX Black, Blue and Red. No brown switch. Tried Noppoo Choc mini as well. No joy. Same as Keycool 84. Might as well just go with a TKL instead even though I still prefer the 84 key layout as it's more compact and easy to carry around if I need to. |

Never try never know, once you've tried it you'll want it more. Apparently I never really liked it, unless it's 55g. QUOTE(sunblaze @ May 14 2013, 05:21 PM) Hi everyone, CM STORM QFR, DUCKY ZERO, ROSEWILLLooking for a mechanical keyboard, budget of RM300 or less. No glossy surface/keys, please Things that don't matter to me: -LED -TKL/full -Macro keys/programmable keys/all that jazz Things that matter: -Reliability/quality -Warranty TLDR: Something basic, good value for money, and I'm guessing that my budget is considered "entry level". Will decide what color switches to get with a hands-on when doing the actual shopping. Planned use: gaming @ home (SC2, etc), some typing ala chatting/CV updating. Any recommendations as to what model/brand I should look at? |

QUOTE(afadzil21 @ May 14 2013, 06:19 PM) Problem is, I like the feel of Costar stabs. WASD builds them customised to your exact specs and sends them out to you. That just save the pain of (and time, which earns me more money when I'm actually working) doing it yourself. did you just mentioned nice set of pbt ?Not that many keys yet. My Filco is still on stock keycaps. Still looking for nice set of PBT keycaps for them. Though I guess it's gonna cost me a fair bit more than Cherry style. get from imsto |
