Have u tried the Dolby software? Maybe that can help. I haven't got time to play with that yet.

EDIT: I've tried the Dolby software and it doesn't help. Try plugging into the jack that indicates center/subwoofer. I think that should do the trick. I don't know whether the sound will be funny or not since I don't have a PC speaker to test.

yes, i tried that and select the center/subwoofer option.

Then it doesnt come out any sound. I m not sure is my jack problem now or this happen to all alienware 14.

Well, have u tried ur headphones? Got sound? If got sound, then maybe it is a software problem. Can try reinstalling the drivers for it. Also, I remember that AW 14 has a built-in subwoofer. Does the laptop speakers work as 2.1?

yes, laptop got sound. my external speaker also got sound. Only when i select the jack plugged as center/subwoofer then no sound.


so most likely the laptop itself doesnt send any signal for bass

unfortunately 2.1 setup is not in this laptop

which adapter are you using the 180 or 240 ?

have you tried using it outside. like cafe's . starbucks , anywhere with wifi , just basically anywhere with a power outlet in a mall ?

Coz last time i tried at curve , starbucks and a few others my adapter wont power up. I tried different power outlet when i plugged the adapter it has lights on it , but the moment i plugged in on my laptop the adapter lights went off immediately. is this adapter issue ? laptop issue or the mall limits the amount of power coming out of the power outlet ?

Mine's a 240. I didn't try in malls but I'm always using my laptop between my house and my office. Seems fine.

Anyone tried fitting in the m17x inside a Vindicator 17" yet ?

i saw someone fit an AW17. without putting in your accessories are still okay. if you fit the AW17, mouse, headphones, the brick and two hard cover books, it is barely unoccupied.

It's with accessories. I normally would bring a mousepad, mouse, power brick, all my cables and powerbank for my phone, 3DS XL, stationery, flashdrives. I'm now lacking a headphone actually. Still waiting for the Siberia Elite black.

All I can say is this backpack can pack tons of stuff. More than enough for my needs. I don't know about other ppl but this backpack is all I need for my laptop.

few days back i moved my power adapter and put it on table then i realised it actually buzzing during heavy load like gaming. Is that sounds fine or the adapter is going to kong already?

Definitely will fit the older one. Bear in mind that the older model is slimmer than the newer one so, definitely it'll fit.
