Guys, anybody bought AW using installment method? This is my first purchase, so just wanna ask how does our bank know that we are paying monthly? Does dell inform the bank that we will be paying monthly or how? Can anyone clarify the process pls...thx

But i will be replacing:

1) The RAM's to 32GB 1866MHz
2) The Graphics card to my GTX780M
3) The HDD - Will install a 512GB SSD as C drive, 960 x2 GB SSD in raid 0 in the SATA port and the 2nd HDD bay. and finally the 750GB 7200RPM in the optical bay.

So the 16GB RAM, GTX770m, and the 64GB mSATA will all be up for sale.

I actually currently own a M17xR3 with nVidia 3D Vision2 and M17xR3 with nVidia 3D vision. But I have never ever used it. I got the 3D screen because its the only screen with the 400nits displays. (the brightest)

The gloss is kinda bad. especially when I am listening to music and the screen goes off, the glass look like a mirror. If I could get the 400 nit display with anti glare, I would have gone that route.

And anyone have an idea if the old M17x chargers work with the AW17?

But is the monitor always at 120Hz or only in 3D?

well I dont think so other than Dell's name is there since I purchased it through a Dell agent online. Hoping that any experienced buyers would enlighten me on this issue regarding razer products through dell.  will check out on Ban Leong thanks man.

correct i can get it from overseas; but it's about local warranty (if it's possible to get local warranty for foreign units? weeks of waiting during rma overseas are no joke :/). when i asked the agents previously they told me dell malaysia only provide warranty support for the stuff they sell.

i dont know if its me or what, but after looking at the AW 17 for a longer time, it can be quite pretty cool.

last time i kept saying it looks ugly. and now there are some changes.

i just don't like the keyboard. Rest is fine for me . But well I have never seen one in real life yet so I can't decide.

If I were to reformat my Alienware AW17, as it is arriving with the 750GB HDD and I will be installing my SSD as a C drive.
Would I be able to restore the Alienware to how it was when the system arrives? For example the Alienware wallpapers and themes and stuff like that? Can all this be found in the Alienware resource CD?

how do u guys benchmark? i mean what software, paid or just from the web? not really into benchmarking since if the game plays well i'm alright but at least wanna know where my machine stands

Dont worry, once its shipped, it won't be long till you get a text saying that it will be delivered. The order status doesn't really move once the status is 'in transit'. Heck, mine is still 'in transit'. So no worries, you'll get it soon
