hi fello alien, issit worth to top up rm600 trade with gtx680m with my gtx 675m?
*
nope. But sadly 675M is a over priced card. Unless you don't mind the loss then it's fine. I think New 680M is around 1500 to 1600RM.

Guys. A bit of a problem here.

I updated to Windows 8.1, and now my GPU is not even recognized on the device manager. What's up? D:

M17x R4 (GTX660m)

EDIT: Even BIOS doesn't recognize the graphics card. FN+F7 doesn't do anything.

hard to buy n sell GPU here. You can ask Puchotip123 but his prices are very high which is why I never deal with him. But you can ask wht he can offer. I would suggest to buy a new card from ebay or etc n get it shipped here. it might take 1 month to come but it will be cheaper than wht neone else would offer you here for new card.

uh? upgrading w8.1 should be seamless (well i did a clean install instead of upgrade).

have you tried to reinstall (clean install) the geforce and intel drivers?

yes there is a big difference between the 2 cards. that's why i think it's better for you to get 780m instead. putochip can help if you wanted it.

i am not sure of the market price of a 675m sorry.

edit: mansooriqbal gave a better option to get a new 780m card i guess lol! you should also get the heatsink spreader and new thermal pads, too.

Did the clean install of the drivers. Now I've detected the gpu and everything.

But whenever I try to play a game, it BSOD after 3-4 mins of playing. It fails under stress.

Not sure what it means. hmm.gif

Using the one from geforce.com
Major problem here. Fails under stress. Hmm....should I call Dell?

Oh and also it seems that at every start up, it says that the adapter used is not enough for the performance.

180W is the one I'm using, but says that it requires the 240W

yes you should call dell.

oh. they do warn you about the lower powered brick smile.gif it's very likely that it's the insufficiency of power that caused all the issues. by the way for aw the stock adapter should provide enough power to your laptop. imo 180W should work well for laptops with stock 660m and cpu. (i have a 3840qm cpu and 680m gpu so the stock adapter is a 240W).

Yeah. I read that the stock adapter should be enough for the 660m, but somehow it says its not. I guess I'll try and see if the 240 adapter would solve it, and I'll provide an update if there were any changes. Thanks.

it's weird that the adapter is not good for your laptop after reading your specs in the signature. it's better you ask dell to see look because i think it might be other hardware issues involved.

What other hardware issues could it be? hmm.gif
