Anyone here have experience dealing with their customer support?
Why nowadays their people is so incapable? My email already write in point form and highlight to them, they also don't understand. Same case dragged for more than a month. They need to take 1 week to reply my email. Even when I call them, they show that they have little knowledge of what they suppose to know.

Damn

maybe since they are customer support (which might be consisting of sales personnel that have much less on-hand experience), they have problems figuring things out. maybe you should ask them to give you a proper technical support number instead.

what exactly is your case?

Actually I am calling tech support. They have little knowledge of what I am talking also. Always ask me wait wait wait then buy some time to ask ppl around but at the end I solve my own tru huge amount of research in google.
My problem?
1. HD failure
2. Motherboard
3. Overheat reach 90+ on loading (this not suppose to happen on new machine and i compared relatively with everyone I am getting too high)
4. Speaker
5. Keyboard key rosak

previous issue
1. Dim/dark tron light
2. Dead pixel

I think this will be my last Dell laptop althought i like their design, spec and warranty but if QC like shit no point buying

So sweet

btw, why the screen look glossy?

I currently live in Canada so I bought it here. The screen is glossy IPS. But I don't mind. Sometimes I prefer glossy over matte

that's awful :/ maybe they should increase the sampling count. this is the second time in a short while i heard about lemon units for smaller form factor aw.

it's interesting that nothing has yet to happen to my laptop. (it's a good build; i think)

that's why the first thing that is very important to do when you get any laptops/components is not to get too excited first, but to test all common parts to confirm you have a good build (display panel; ports; headphone jacks; simple stress tests on cpu/gpu; etc.)

maybe not :/ this mobo is rare in taobao.com.

Not sure about taobao.com , but before i ordered trackpad with pchub dot com , after 1-2 weeks waiting , they sent me broken trackpad..Have to contact them back bla bla bla and bla wait for shipping again , its PITA. So RM 500 (probably include installation?) is very good deal! Dell quotes me RM1k+ for my m15x motherboard.

There will always be cases like yours :/

Yeah grab the MYR500 offer for this mobo. Its a good deal!

edit: just did a clean install of w8.1 to my r4. seamless. (well, except for me having to call MS for reactivation because the activation count has exceeded :/) the secureboot is working fine with w8.1 also.

uh? there are changes but not much. it's better not to upgrade i think. (i am used to w8; so it's fine to me)

things that i know:
1. wei is gone;
2. now poweroff function can be accessed via win+x menu;
3. there is the start button that let you navigate between metro and desktop (well, it's kind of pointless to me because it's just the same as you pressing the win key);
4. the built-in backup is also gone.

still new in 8.1 so not much i can say about this.
