Beware when using resources DVD. It *probably* can damage your FX as well. (Using resource dvd for m15x surely will damage the FX, not really sure about m17x resource dvd). Just download all drivers from DELL instead of using resources dvd.

Installing .net framework is little bit tricky on Win7. Google about it, you will find lots of useful information.

Good luck!

P/S : If your FX still malfunction after re-install the .net framework, you probably need motherboard replacement cry.gif

or

Find somebody can fix it. Ebay (US based) offers service to fix your FX without mobo replacement.

Finally, my AW 17 is ready to rock and roll!!! Didn't even sleep just to prep it ready for use. Running OS on mSATA + UEFI secure boot. Pain in the ass to setup everything but it's totally worth it!!! rclxm9.gif

the channels to contact dell tech supports can be found at http://www.dell.com/support/contents/my/en...chnical-Support

maybe you can chat with the agent for further info?

that also usually means something is coming up next. maybe preparing the system to accept customizations? (I think it's a common pattern at dell's site)

your's is same as mine i guess...and i have just upgraded to gtx770m..

1. you need a gpu (let say gtx770m) that has a dell/alienware vbios in it.
2. for gtx660m to gtx770m i can confirm that the heatsink is compatible. and the x bracket too..
3. after installing, you need a driver with a slight/easy modification with .inf file.
4. then drool drool.gif while gaming your hearts out... ehhehehe
