have been thinking for a while and i think i gonna get the new M14... just that i have a noob question about RAM.. dell provide a 8gb ram... can i upgrade to 16gb next time?

just called dell,
i am getting bitter about this 10% discount..for different customer... for a RM4999 laptop.. 10% discount is RM499..
i asked them about this and not getting a good help...
to cancel my order, i will be charged RM80 for logistic.

to me it is fine then... after canceling the order i will make a new order via telefon/email/chat like you guys... and 499-80 it is still RM419 save... better than nothing...

thinking to just forget about dell already... haihz....

edit: dell giving me excuses that they need a referral to alter my order

edit1: the customer service recomended me to cancel my order and make a new order.

edit2 update: call the customer service to cancel , they said cannot cancel because the laptop is en route for delivery today.. (suddenly today i will got my laptop) haihz...

EDIT, this is what i want to say actually:

after nearly paying full price on dell webpage, then cancel my order after knowing there is better deal offline, and found out refund only going to be made in 3 weeks time, i guess i have to abandon the alien mothership. because refund is 3 weeks, and ordering is 3 more weeks if i am lucky... that's 6weeks more.. if dragged.. then it nearly take 2 freaking month... i cant take it... DELL cs is cool but it doesn't help...

so, i am going to go for something lightweight and portable...

and a shout out to @xandman for being a cool dude provide me detail of his purchase for my reference...

ps: went to a pc store here in ipoh. they have the alienware in store... and belive me.. the AW17 is much more tempting to have...

while still waiting for DELL to refund and revert back my credit card...

i snag an alienware M17xR4... refurb unit from a forumer... with original 1 year DELL warranty... yeah....
cheap at RM3600 but
6gb ram and gtx660 only... 500gb hdd..i7 3rd gen..
planning to get the ram upgraded, ssd and stuff...

but my question is.... any 1 got a suggestion for a huge laptop bag?

i think yes. just bought a refurb alienware... but actually it is new.. buyer cancel the order because new aw17 is out.. i got mine without any scratch, and equal to brand new and 1 year warranty from DELL it self..

i also heard from a dell sales rep while negotiating... is that, quite a number of m17x and m14x are canceled due to recently launch aw14&17 (because the topic of conversation is that i want to cancel my aw14 order which is to him is rare at that time)... which DELL will sold it as refurb/returned/refund.. with a huge discount...

but.. i do not work DELL
