no hdmi is a small matter. I can simply just buy a HDMI->DVI converter.

It's the lack of 1:1 scaling for 1080p that annoys me...

i know it supports 1080p....

but does it stretch the 1920x1080 pixels to the 1920x1200 screen?
the 'old' stock of benq's stretch it

the new firmware fixes this, thus, giving us the tiny black bars on the top and bottom...

so brabus, any chance of you checking the shops, ask them to set the desktop reso to 1920x1080 (u'll prolly need some custom software to get that reso, unless u;re using nvidia GC, u can ask the monitor to function as 1080p HDTV)

was reading In.Tech just now...realized the dell 27" 2707WFP has reached Malaysian shores...

Pretty impressive how it's available here so fast. I'd expect it to go the usual rounds in Japan, UK and US before we finally get a piece...

cost a whopping RM5999...lol

even the 30" is cheaper @ RM4999 with cash rebates.

But then again, you'd need some 8800 sli going on to run games @ 2560 x 1600.
The 27" has a native reso of 1920x1200.

I wonder how it handles 1:1 scaling for 1920x1080...

edit: Some pics I found...

It was already available here the moment Dell announce it officially at CES last week. biggrin.gif I'm guessing we're gonna see the price drops to RM3999 soon as next month Samsung's gonna launch their 275T 27" LCD at US$999. thumbup.gif

Since the 27" is a 1920x1200 panel, i'd say the 8800 won't have any problems with any current games at such resolution. That is, until Crysis finally comes out. laugh.gif

Everybody here busy talking about connecting xbox 360 with LCD Monitor wide screen. Me so far using Xbox 360 with normal tv (Sony Wega 29 inch) only. So far the picture look nice.

But i plan to try connect my X360 with my IMAC (Core Duo) which is rarely situation i guess. I heard about Connect360 software can help with this. My IMAC is widescreen but only 17 inch.

unless your epal has VGA-in, i really don't see how you're going to use the IMAC LCD monitor with the x360.

And as for Connect360, isn't that a program to sync the epal with the 360 to play songs and pictures stored in the mac?

...or am i missing something awesome here?

edit: technically, there IS a way to play the 360 on a mac and that would involve taking the whole thing apart and hardwiring the x360 vga cable to the lcd monitor itself. If you do that...well notworthy.gif
