I saw RM 200 at a shop at Digital Mall. At least thats what is says on the price tag la. Is there any other 'non-standard' cable ar that does the same thing?

That place seems to jack up the price for no reason.

I went there, saw the RM200 price, and figured I would just order from US instead, it's cheaper.

Then someone suggested I go to the little Mac shop at Sunway, got it there for RM109. Exact same thing, official Apple product.

I'm thinking for getting an external monitor for my macbook, maybe a dell widescreen LCD, craving for the apple's cinema display but i can't afford it so dell is the alternative. An external apple's wireless keyboard as well with a mighty mouse. Can this be done to a macbook? I'm a noob here. And how much cash i have to burn to get all of this done ? Appreciate with all the sifus help here.

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has been using the:

Elgato EyeTV Hybrid (DTT + Analog TV) with analog input
"Watch full screen, high quality Digital Terrestrial and Analogue TV directly on your Mac with EyeTV Hybrid. Bonus feature: connect a set-top box or analogue video with its composite and S-Video input cable."

Was it any good? Any recommendations?

Updated iTunes and Quicktime available for download:-

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

QuickTime 7.2 addresses critical security issues and delivers:
- Support for full screen viewing in QuickTime Player
- Updates to the H.264 codec
- Numerous bug fixes

Quicktime supposingly supports full screen playback. Not tried it yet, but hope it does and also overrides screensaver during playback.

You can use any normal USB keyboards, USB mice, and monitors with the Mac. No dual-link DVI on the MacBook though.

I am using a ViewSonic 20" widescreen, with the DVI adapter, on a MacBook and I like it. The monitor was RM950 a while ago, probably cheaper now.

Also using Logitech mouse and keyboard.

I'm using a wireless keyboard for my MBP at work. I find that it is more convenient to type using the wireless keyboard as compared to the built in one. Bought both from VR Tech. Mouse: RM27x, Keyboard RM24x. NOT cheap but it pairs as soon as I open the lid without any interaction on my part.

If I want to use my MB for a very very long time, is it advisable for me to remove the battery pack and run it using the power cord or leave the battery pack there and just plug in the cable?

for me i just leave the battery inside and then plug in the cable. so far so good, the battery life did't seems to reduce and still remains the same =) some said must remove the battery if long use using the plug or else it will shorten the battery life but who cares.
