If u can wait, then wait - but we're never gonna be able to catch up with technologies anyways.  I decided not to wait and bought my MBP instead  smile.gif

the thing is GMA950 really "ehem" for me.. biggrin.gif If i got that budget, right now i goin buy MBP instead of waiting. For MBP, it's not goin' improve much in "santa rosa" platform. But MB, it's a totally new environment brows.gif

dude you dont seem to get what i mean, who in the world want to pay for 5k in malaysia to use a product for just LESS THAN 5DAYS! and until now, already 2 month, all the time used to send for warranty, i mean. wtf?

my case is entirely different which i got a mb thats totally working fine with a weird problem on the isight, else everything alright, BUT YOU SEE

when after send to warranty come back i get thsoe INTENTIONAL GRAFFITI ART drawn on the cover. walan eh, i even havent leave my fingerprint dirt or even at least spray whatever on my body to the mb they already rape her like this. again. WTF?

i mean everyone has a problem, but i just want to let you guys know the dark side of SO MALAYSIAN attitude with our apple malaysia here. like buat tak tahu lepas sekejap tutup case. i mean wtf. really. you give me your 5k i give you my mb then taste a bit of my feeling here. no offense. really. 5k is NOT guess for me. dude, i'm just an ordinary guess sold most of my thing to get this. I thought it's a dream. but it felt more like a nightmare instead.

just pray they'll act NOT SO Malaysian after i sent it this time.

Hmm...don't expect it in March. Santa Rosa is being released in May. Not to forget, Intel is releasing new sets of Core 2 Duo processors (although the desktop ones had been covered extensively, the notebook ones are still very vague...if there is any new ones at all in Q2). Apple would most likely wait till it is (Santa Rosa...and hopefully new processors) released, used it (or them) in their new Macbook/MBPro hardware refresh and introduce Leopard...and a tagline like 25% faster or something like that.

hmm...quite a few horror stories here...if i've visited this thread before i purchased my mb, you guys might talk me out of it....hehe..

anyways, i guess i'm in the 'lucky' group. no problem with my mb. i think mine was mb 2nd batch, bought it last november. all components working fine. even with 1gb, it's mighty fast. just installed xp a few days ago, so i'm loving my macbook more and more, because before i have to use my 'other' laptop if i wanted to use certain applications that are not mac compatible on the go. now mb is all i need when travelling.

anyways, does anyone know the price for apple wireless mouse? does it has a right click button? been thinking of buying one, especially handy when i'm using windows xp on the mac...

Actually the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse (I assume that's the one tinkerbel is talking about since that's the only Apple Wireless Mouse in the price range of 289/299) has right button function, and 2 programmable "buttons" for expose.

Trust Apple to come out with a smooth sleek design, just because the "buttons" cannot be seen, doesn't mean they aren't there.

yeah, i thought it has the right click function, but wasn't sure. glad it's all cleared up now. but i have to ask, the apple wireless mighty mouse's transmitter, does it shaped like a usb thumbdrive, or is it like a desktop transmitter? cause that would kinda be a hassle to carry around...

*edit: ok, that's a stupid question. the mouse connects via bluetooth...thanks anyways for all the help... biggrin.gif

Got a question, There is a black line on my MB LCD and i noticed it last night, I don't think that it is anything to do with dead pixels since it's almost a cm long and i'm very sure that it's not caused by a scratch nor a slap on screen.
I'm not sure what caused it, it just came out of no where after i rebooted after updating my OSX to 10.4.9.

So what shall it do, take it to any Mac reseller for a check or should i just take it straight to VR Tech? which of them (companies) will get it done faster?

dragna, i guess you could go and consult your most 'trusted' apple reseller shop and get it fixed smile.gif (note the word MOST TRUSTED")

well, latest update?
i've take back my mb temporarily while they said that they helped me to claim the parts for repair

what's the story behind this?

first time i call, their response is, what apple said, "oh this kind of problem ah? very 'common' one, cannot claim"

i went like "wtf...and paused for like 3 second"

then the macshop continued by saying "we went to talk with apple malaysia again and insist of claiming"

then the claim is on. not while waiting, i can take back my mb,
well is it a good or bad news. lol lame

Haha.. thanks for the advice Siaukia, unfortunately i've no TRUSTed macstore since this will be my first send-in.
Well, my MB is still under a year, so this means i'm still entitled for a warranty claim right? But i'm not sure that the LCD problem here is even claimable.
It's damn irritating to see a line at my bottom left.
