I'm actually quite surprised to know there are so many people out there (possibly in the West?) whose preference is towards a smaller sized screen. Guess it's very much due to portability issues.
In my opinion, if Apple's to re-introduce a 12", it prob and could be either an entire new line, or may be the MB. To introduce it as a compact, more portable MBP seems like a 'weird' strategy to me *shrugs*

Yeah, I totally agree. People buy the machine for different reasons. For those who wants to get it just to look gaya when they're seated at Starbucks, I think they wouldn't wanna be spending too much $ on it. Some has higher priority to better graphics, some wants high RAM, whilst another group of people may just want loads of HDD space. Honestly, I've only got 40GB on my working laptop but that's more than sufficient (at least for now)

I think Load Runner may run a little better than Pac Man *grins* I don't know about Frogger though Speaking of which, is there Minesweeper on Mac?! Seriously...

civic98, I thought ur MacBook is pretty new? And now, ur considering getting another with a C2D processor? Perhaps if u need a faster machine, u may want to go for the Mac Pro instead of the MacBook Pro since that's upgradable plus, u oredi have something mobile. Just a thought *shrugs*

ed0gawa, Try using the trackpad. It may be a little inconvenient at the beginning but I think you'll soon get used to it. I'm getting used to mine though at this point i can't say i prefer it more than the mouse.
It sure takes awhile getting used to the 'right-clicking' of the mouse! *grins*

ed0gawa, Don't carry your MB out until u find something to put it in! I'm trying to get used to the trackpad too but find it a hassle when it comes to the clicking. I don't mind *grins* the scrolling though *g*
I'm a little under the weather so have left the MBP of mine all on its own the last few days or so *b*

ed0gawa, You may need to get a mini-DVI to VGA cable to connect it to your college projector if your MB doesn't come with one.
I use an MBP (actually, I just got an MBP - i haven't really started using it yet!) and it comes with a DVI to VGA cable which will enable me to connect it to a projector. I'm assuming it works the same for the MBs except the MBs output is via Mini-DVI whilst the MBP is via DVI.

I think it's RM119 at MacAsia. Remembered asking and their cables are priced similarly.
Doesn't the MB come with it?

ed0gawa, Worst come to worst, don't use your laptop for presentations until you have the cables Use your classmates, OR get them to contribute for the cable instead goldfries/lokgotz, I wouldn't mind an additional DVI to VGA cable so if it doesn't work the way you guys intended for it to work, you sure can very well keep it as a spare for me `k? goldfries, Ok, U know where to discard your 'unwanted' DVI-VGA if it becomes a spare. Speaking of which, I haven't even tested anything much on my MBP yet!! Maybe i should take u out for lunch one of these days so you can tell me how I should set it up and configure all those uhm, optimisation stuff, etc?

jae, NeoOffice's compatible with Words & Excel. For Powerpoint, use Keynotes - it's more 'canggih' than Powerpoint, except I haven't gotten to really using it YET ! If you're worried about compatibility between files you've stated, you don't have a problem

siaukia, It's not impossible though the chances are a little low. You could try this Mac shop I stumbled upon that's located at Plaza Damas. Am not sure if they have it though since most of the shops would have tried selling them off earlier esp with the new C2Ds in the market.
Y don't you just get the C2D since the price is the same? [unless ur able to get it at the reduced/promo price?]

jae, You can download NeoOffice - it's FOC. I don't think you'll have problems opening Keynote files in Powerpoint format (i can't be absolutely sure since I haven't tried it myself but I think a friend of mine created his presentation on Keynote and I didn't have any problems accessing it using Powerpoint). Also, when I meant more 'canggih' I meant the 'animation' that's canggih-er!
