they didnt even told you the name of your eye condition? I think you better call them to find out. Is it Keratoconus and they want u to go through Cross-linking? Because after the surgery, you will need special type of contact lens to help improve your vision, and not just any semi rigid gas permeable lens which might worsen your condition.

Yes, on that time the nurse didn't mention to me n just told me my eye condition require special procedure compare to normal eye lasik. Then my eye sight improvement also slower than the usual eye lasik.

I just called them, one of the consultant said Keratoconus that u mentioned is the eye sickness and he said he unable to answer me about the Cross-linking. He asked me to consult Dr Yeoh when I did my final checkup before surgery.

He some more told me don't over worry although my case is rear but one week they have 1 or 2 patients have the same condition like me.

My friend keep ask me to go for 2nd advises from other doctor. Perhaps I really should go for another one... cry.gif

the doctor should know the diagnosis now, otherwise he wont advise you on the surgery and contact lens management. they just want u to do the surgery there.

if you need LASEK, that means ur cornea is steeper than normal but not to the extent of keratoconus yet, otherwise you cant have LASEK also.

My previous power is one eyes around 275 to 300. One eye around 300 to 325. Astig is around 75 and 100.

I choose open flap with laser and custom laser. It is 4k per eye bringing in total 8k. You can referral letter from jialat which can discount a bit. I didnt take it cause i need to do asap. Mine i have discount 500 also due to 100 per eye for full payment, no eazy payment. 150 per eye due to referral as my sister was previous patient.

Oh yea, you need to pay the initial checkup and thorough checkup. I did all within a month, so for the checking i pay around 135. I heard jialat also can have referral for checking. LoL. Wish i could have known it earlier
*
Bro, the discount of 500 = per eye 100(full payment ) +150(referral)? Is it correct?

If i pay by instalment, no discount applicable?

How bout the referral letter from jialat? Would it be applicable if i want to get all these discount together? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

sure, just pm me your full name, hp number, email, birth date, n mailing address. they will pos you a referral letter to get discount on both eye check and refractive surgery.

Yes, lasik is considered as comestic surgery and will not be able to claim from insurance company, but I am not sure about your company eyecare benefit. Perhaps u can check with your HR.

you should only consider refractive surgery if your eye power has been stablised for at least 2 years. thanks

just to update my status, this afternoon went to TTDI do eye examination, told that right eye only can do epi-lasik, left eye either full laser or epi-lasik.

Did a mistake, should bought a sunglasses, which i forgot, surfering when i come out from the place, and i need to drive home somemore.

bought a new sunglasses imediately after i reach home, also can use after i done the surgery.

Will have fix a date with them to do the surgery, just that still cant decide on my left eye surgery method.

and i heard the epi-lasik is quite pain, anyone experienced before ? maybe can share their thoughts....

sorry but have to correct you, is full laser not normal lasik.

yes i know, but they told me that the epi-lasik will help to save more tisu. and my cornea is not very thick also, just basically enough for full laser.

however, want to clarify this with the doctor, will book a consultation with Dr.Stephen, heard he is very experience guy.

As my right eye must do Epi-lasik, so now i planning to do the right eye 1st, see how much it really affect my life with its long recovery period, i can decide on the left eye surgery method. tongue.gif

Yes I did mine at Advance vision. It has been more than a year now and the result is still good!

I don't like Vista and Optimax as I feel that they are trying to make more money from their patients. They told me that my eye condition is not suitable for the cheapest method, I have to go for medium package or the most expensive one. But end up I did it at Advance vision at only RM 2888!!

Then Vista was asking me to go for further check up because the doctor suspected my eyes got some problem, so before the surgery it is better to go for cehck up to make sure my condition is fit for the surgery. I did the check up and it cost RM 400!! The doctor who did the check up (another doctor) told me that everything is good and there is no sympton at all! I was so annoyed and I told my friend about htat! Then my friend recommended me to Advance Vision where she had her surgery there too.

Try to check with Advance Vision, http://www.advancevision.net.my/ I did mine there. I was being told by Optimax that I can't do the normal lasik surgery too then I have to pay more for another type. So I went Advance Vision and I did mine there at only RM 2,888!! The result is still good after one year!

I think there are only 2 types in Advance Vision, RM 2,888 and another is RM 5k+ which is tissue saving method but the doctor said my power is not that high and it is not necessary to go for RM 5k+ method. Of course if I want they can still do for me. I am not sure what machine do they use, perhaps you can just go there for consultation to find out, it's free anyway.
