Not that i dun want to go there..its a closed group and i cant join..anyway asking doesnt mean i am a fanboy..i think i have owned more proton than many of the forummers here but preve is new to me.that y i am asking from experinced ppl here so that i can resolve it faster

This is the 6th proton in my family btw..i know their pros and cons

23xxx is last year batch....i think now the chassis number should be 30xxxx. No wonder got issues. Anyway, do email your problem to our proton rep bournejason95@gmail.com he will forward it to the head of proton car quality at drb hicom

if I really got a 2012 chassis will screw the SA kaw kaw.

Mine is 23xxx, Yes it 2012 model! The problem i facing is only:

- Braking helicopter sound (solve after changing disc rotor)
- Sluggish pickup (solve after ecu/tcu update)
- The rear door behind driver seat cant open from inside (solve after changing the latch)

The problem i have now is sometimes it crank for few second before it start but die of awhile after it started. I have this problem after changed to Petronas Fully Synthetic 10w 50. I swear will not ever use Petronas engine oil anymore as it really increase fc and sluggishness. I will buy my previous own engine oil on next service. Anyway my mileage is 7.5k. Hope this will help.

dont use 10w-50..too thick..use syntium 3000 or 5000...normally sc dont have this grade,purchase at petronas station

Hi guys, im using preve exec cvt...Just want to check whether this situation is normal or not...

My car rolls backward when it is in 'D' mode (at slope)...

The car should be moving forward or stationary if the slope is too steep right ?

I tried this few times, if i didnt press the accelerator, the car keep moving backwards...

A lot of my friend told me that Petronas engine oil make the engine with rough sound, they tell me to stay away from it & buy my own engine oil when go for service. I will try my previous engine i used last time to confirm the statement. Anyway i am using MAG1 5w 20 semi syn last time. Quieter & lighter engine experience as it it the best oil that i tried.

hmm, the car grant shows 2013 manufacturing year. could be early Jan.

yes, the test drive also revealed:
- helicopter sound braking
- might need ecu/tcu update
- rusty exhaust bracket
- rear door no issue. just strange they defaulted the child lock to ON from factory.

for now, asked the SA to send back to COE to rectify the TCS indicator issue.
it was practically making beep-beep sound as i drive slowly around the block.

CVT punch gearbox is like manual clutch gearbox as i know, just do it like manual car. Handbrake on then accelerate and release the handbrake when the car is moving forward. This info is from the member ard here =D hope this will help. And yes it is normal for CFE too

Nope, i am sure it is 2012 as Jan there were no car production is process because that is the month they clearing the stock of 2012. This info is from my SA. If not mistaken, some member here is getting 24xxx for 2012 stock too. If it is true then how can 23xxx is 2013?

i see, so its normal for cvt gearbox...before this i was using manual car, this is my first AT car...thats why had doubt about this...

was travelling in the car yesterday with a friend, so when entering the car park, this situation happened...

he said this doesnt happen in his inspira, thats why abit confused
