When I drive my Vios, actually the fit and finish seems more quality. At least don't have any sound, moving parts, rattling issues..

I don't know how long Proton needed to learn that.. Kia and Hyundai done it.
*
Gratz! rclxms.gif

Kia forte sound insulation sucks compare to preve. I did drive drive cause my collic like forte. After the test drive, he prefer preve lol. Forte interior quality is better but fitting is not that good for me experience. The paddle shifter tak tak sound so loud when shifting. lol

23xxx is last year batch....i think now the chassis number should be 30xxxx. No wonder got issues. Anyway, do email your problem to our proton rep bournejason95@gmail.com he will forward it to the head of proton car quality at drb hicom

QUOTE(ropaisoft @ Apr 13 2013, 11:26 AM)
so, who has the latest chassis number here?
if I really got a 2012 chassis will screw the SA kaw kaw.
*
Mine is 23xxx, Yes it 2012 model! The problem i facing is only:

- Braking helicopter sound (solve after changing disc rotor)
- Sluggish pickup (solve after ecu/tcu update)
- The rear door behind driver seat cant open from inside (solve after changing the latch)

The problem i have now is sometimes it crank for few second before it start but die of awhile after it started. I have this problem after changed to Petronas Fully Synthetic 10w 50. I swear will not ever use Petronas engine oil anymore as it really increase fc and sluggishness. I will buy my previous own engine oil on next service. Anyway my mileage is 7.5k. Hope this will help. cool2.gif

dont use 10w-50..too thick..use syntium 3000 or 5000...normally sc dont have this grade, purchase at petronas station
*
A lot of my friend told me that Petronas engine oil make the engine with rough sound, they tell me to stay away from it & buy my own engine oil when go for service. I will try my previous engine i used last time to confirm the statement. Anyway i am using MAG1 5w 20 semi syn last time. Quieter & lighter engine experience as it it the best oil that i tried.

Hi guys, im using preve exec cvt...Just want to check whether this situation is normal or not...

My car rolls backward when it is in 'D' mode (at slope)...

The car should be moving forward or stationary if the slope is too steep right ?

I tried this few times, if i didnt press the accelerator, the car keep moving backwards...
*
CVT punch gearbox is like manual clutch gearbox as i know, just do it like manual car. Handbrake on then accelerate and release the handbrake when the car is moving forward. This info is from the member ard here =D hope this will help. And yes it is normal for CFE too brows.gif

hmm, the car grant shows 2013 manufacturing year. could be early Jan.

yes, the test drive also revealed:
- helicopter sound braking
- might need ecu/tcu update
- rusty exhaust bracket
- rear door no issue. just strange they defaulted the child lock to ON from factory.

for now, asked the SA to send back to COE to rectify the TCS indicator issue.
it was practically making beep-beep sound as i drive slowly around the block.
*
Nope, i am sure it is 2012 as Jan there were no car production is process because that is the month they clearing the stock of 2012. This info is from my SA. If not mistaken, some member here is getting 24xxx for 2012 stock too. If it is true then how can 23xxx is 2013?

honestly, should have hill-assist.
program the braking module to hold on slopes until press accelerator pedal.

i guess they forgot malaysia (and the world) is not flat like a runway.
*
Its will be perfect if proton apply this feature!!

QUOTE(Maapu @ Apr 13 2013, 12:12 PM)
i see, so its normal for cvt gearbox...before this i was using manual car, this is my first AT car...thats why had doubt about this...

was travelling in the car yesterday with a friend, so when entering the car park, this situation happened...

he said this doesnt happen in his inspira, thats why abit confused  rclxub.gif

Campro engine characteristic is totally different than Japan technology. Maybe we too use to Japan technology as old proton also Japanese engine. For CFE, it got accelerate assist (i dunno what it call) as it will auto accelerate a bit when u release the brake. Not sure for Executive Version. Anyway it is a totally different driving experience that we ever had.

QUOTE(xtremesportx @ Apr 14 2013, 07:02 PM)
Hi all,

Just to my preve ifam auto exec solid white.

Today's the 5th day driving mileage just reach 112km, pump a full tank, notice when braking, doesn't matter fast speed or at 60km/hr there's this duk duk sound! What's wrong?? Then the engine feels really sluggish, unresponsive like not moving, have to press the pedal deep to get response and the engine will whine and roar then the car will jerk a little then move.

Engine noise pretty loud n harsh. Izzit supposed to be like that??

Then the 3rd thing I realized is the fuel indicated, showing 13.8L/100km!! WTF?? I pumped full petrol when left 1 bar costs RM72 n then I changed the indicator to show the mileage. At first it shows 591km then when start moving, stop by few traffic lights, look at the indicator again and it kept on decreasing until almost 510km left! Is this normal?? Someone help!!
*
QUOTE(xtremesportx @ Apr 14 2013, 09:37 PM)
Yah, I test drive on highway the FC reduced by big margin, the brakes gentle braking ok, only if drive fast n brake got helicopter sound. Called up the sale guy he said its new brake so duk duk is normal? Bu doesn't happen on my myvi thou, car already latest map according to him so no need to update.

I'll continue to monitor but so far it's good, as compared to my myvi 1.5 se the myvi has an edge on acceleration 0-40 cos car lighter, the Toyota engine also more responsive . But preve handling, cornering n ride stability n comfort is way ahead. On bad road myvi very noisy over bumps n potholes but preve handles it brilliantly, same road i took everyday preve no sound! Only downside is properly the campro engine, maybe after 1k service better? Lets find out.
*
1. Braking Helicopter sound due to disc rotor - Change at SC
2. Sluggish - Remap ECU/TCU at SC
3. The meter is showing average per km, it won't stop calculating when the engine is running - Its normal

CFE is highway cruiser which u can hit 0.12cent/km at the highway but its is nightmare in heavy traffic jam which can up to 0.24cent/km. Go remap ECU/TCU, after that and it will feel it will totally become like driving other car, i am sure u will not ever touch your Myvi if not necessary after that. =D Hope this info will help. icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys, I m a newbie here so need your advice

I got my car last week, is a CFE premium, red colour, Series 31xxx
Currently the mileage is only 400+ km

So, when I go for 1k service, do I need to remap the ECU?

and do you know how to update the map? I can't find any POI on it.

and is the USB port compatible to iphone 5? I try to connect my iphone5 or even iphone 4 on it, the media doesn't detect anything.

Thanks alot!

Use bluetooth, usb is for pendrive only

The best I manage was 14.5cent/km... with some power drive along the highway  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
*
Pump full tank at highway, then reset counter, then start moving linearly right after start the engine without delay then auto cruise at 90-100 tongue.gif haha if u can behave very good, then u can get it laugh.gif Just afraid that u not able to withstand the power haha

but I try not to go too light 1st
this is me la not sure about others wink.gif
*
My mechanic also recommend go for 40, he say if too light, the oil level will get lower by time.

QUOTE(diadokmai @ May 29 2013, 08:57 PM)
just simple info since i just test a drive 1.6sx forte. for about 20minutes test drive.

Quality - Forte 1.6sx go check yourself
Safety - Forte 1.6sx
Spacious Cabin - Preve CFE
Comfort - Forte 1.6sx - No hearing Wind Noise, more comfort seat, more lowered
Steering/Handling - Preve CFE
Performance - Preve CFE, but i think its acceptable forte 1.6sx not too slow..much better than my last campro 1.6.so i think ok la..haha (maybe the 17inch rims affecting the performance too)
Stability taking Corner - Forte 1.6sx (kurang rasa buang) maybe if preve standard Anti Roll Bar not so good
Price - Preve CFE... BUT what u pay is what u get...get ready to make weekly or monthly visit to SC if ur car got like my car.haha
Forte 1.6sx- imo, nice car than preve, look more stunning, quality interior and exterior. dont know giving much problem or not?
Preve 1.6 CFE - ok ok car. but cheap less 12k - 13k than forte 1.6sx, but unlucky me my preve many little2 problem..so many little problem will make a big problem to me. mad.gif
*
Lo, first I heard Forte NVH is better than Preve. Few of my friend own it and I also test drive it, the NVH is bad.

ops bro..what NVH mean? hehe sory for the noob question

if u mean the noise?

what i mean comfort in forte 1.6sx is the indoor noise is less than preve cfe.plus i dont hear dahsboard rattling like my preve..no doubt the tyre forte 1.6sx much noiser than preve cfe. which forte 1.6sx use 215/45/17.
change to much more comfort tyre then ur done.
*
NVH = Noise, vibration & Harness

Forte wind noise very loud, my friend said its very noisy when rain drops lol. The engine sound is loud too. I feel that preve noise level is gd. Just the cvt winning sound makes u feel noisy, wind noise at high speed is gd and even better than Vios. The matter is the vibration on preve. Don't shoot me, just my point of view. tongue.gif
