Do you need to pay the 6% service tax for only the Maxis Fibre bill (without Astro IPTV)?

Maxis Fibre bill does not have 6% Govt Tax.
Astro Bill would have 6% Govt Tax.
My guess : You will get 2 bills (Maxis Home Fibre + Astro), even the Maxis Voice bill is separated with different account no.

Maxis does charge the 6 or now 7% on the hsbb bill, but only for the calls that you made from your phone. Broadband is not taxed by the government.

When you subscribe to Maxis Home Fibre, you get TWO(2) bills with TWO(2) account numbers
1. Internet bill [No 6% Govt Tax]
2. Voice bill [6% Govt Tax on the call charges]

When did it go up to 7% ????!?!?!? Don't lah mislead forummers with unconfirmed details.

p.s. Govt Tax is different from Goods & Services Tax (GST)

Anyone has subscribed to the Astro+Maxis IPTV? Is the bill going to be a consolidated one or have two separate bills ?

Ops, sorry, it should be 6% .. I know the differences between GST and Gov. service tax, it just that in my latest maxis bill, it says increase from 5% to 6% (just checked the bill) misread it ..

No wonder am getting two bills from Maxis, never checked the account number .. one with RM0 and the other one RM148.

Maxis FTTH is a big piece of shit right now, I can't use Google DNS, can't use their regular DNS, always Facebook got proble, sometimes Facebook works but chat doesn't, sometimes certain websites (totally random websites) doesn't work. What the hell is this? Fix this DNS shit already, it has been months.

Im using 118 old package. Want to subscribe the new iptv. However they stating u need to terminate old package and use the new package that loses everything bundle together with the old package. Is there a way to subscribe the iptv astro without terminating the old home fibre package??

I noticed my line hasn't been good for the pass few nights. Only happens about after 8pm. Youtube doesn't stream properly not even at 480p. And higher latency on games.

EDIT: And of course when I ping to local servers I get 10ms and max down/up rate speed.

They limit the torrent speed during peak times (8pm-12am), so imo it is better to stick to unifi for torrenting.

And also for gaming, the latency is higher than unifi.
