just curious.. has anybody tried pairing the KSC75s with the Little Dot 2+ amp?

would like to hear ur impressions on the combo

i tried recabled KSC75 on SOHA. don't really like it. even prefer to direct drive.
imho soha match well with grado.

Not really good. I tried on PPAv2, LD2+, Zhaolu-modded-opa637. All doesnt sounds good. The weird thing is that it sounds good on a tomahawk...

Tested with my little dot 2 + no different only loud

try it with unity gain open loop buffers and it'll blow you away

odd....the LD2+ are tube amps...and tube amps are supposed to be warm...

i like SS amps with my PCwork Ksc75 as it give it some xtra speed and kick. my ex ZL discrete amp drove it very very well. for now i like how the koss sounds driven by my 24v GV6. airy, detailed, big headstage with decent omph esp. at mid bass. very close to the MS2 i heard (on metal anyways).

FWIW i waznt that fond of the koss driven by my ex. LDII+. not that it sounded bad but nothing spectacular at best.

yeah...i prefer SS amps as well....tubes suck when it comes to fast paced, high energy songs like metal (speaking from experience with the 336i).

reason im asking is because im looking into an amp for gaming for my Franken PhilKoss...u know how hard they are to drive. and some dude is selling his LD2+ in garage sales

Not surprising, I've also been told by a friend that the RA-1 sounds better than headamp GS-X in some ocassions. Some phones do sound better on some simpler amps, I personally never liked ANY grados on PPA (the expansive soundstage and detail coupled with grado's narrow soundstage just makes it sound very, very, wierd), they sound better directly out of an ipod, even better on a pimeta with hard hitting opamps.

if on a normal ksc75 or much better still, bro PCdudes super mod ksc75 i would highly recommend the GV6 esp. now at usd60. its a steal for that price. then drive it with a 24v linear reg. psu and u'd be could be surprized.

however i did have a go with your franken philikoss and hmmm...im not even sure the GV6 can drive it to any meaning volume. perhaps when if u order the GV6, ask NORM to give extra high gain. thats the best and cheapest solution for u plus u also have a very capable porty amp to lug with u.

just as a measure of how heavy the PhilKoss are....

with my rig...i get ALMOST the same volume from both my DT990 and PhilKoss (PhilKoss slightly louder) with the volume knob turned at 10 oclock

im thinking to make a philkoss as well... with my unused HP2700 and since i never liked it very much to begin with, the hp805 sounds way better. Might post some worklogs later when i have the time

Hi, anyone know where to get those sponge for kcs75? mine starting to peel off, i love this earphone a lot. Like the sound characteristic it produce.

Any other ear plug which have similar sound characteristic? kcs75 isn't that portable for me
