u sure recabling ada increase in performance? or in a more suitable words, increase the listening experience/pleasure? or it just a placebo effect? as for now, im impressed with the detail produced by my ksc-75, compared to old px100. It does increase my listening pleasure, placeabo effect? nope i dun think so... it does makes difference, well.. at least for me it does. I do think each of us has different taste in sounds, an RM5k cans can sound just like a RM50 to the ears of some. (just like a colleague of mine

)
One thing thats for sure about the ksc-75, the difference of a properly burned-in and a brand new ones. My ksc-75 is nearly about a year old, and last 2 months i got another new set which was meant for my gf, both of them really sounded very very differently. Especially the highs which are much much more subtle than of a new ones.
Anyways... i do enjoy the recabled ksc-75, for the price (RM80+45=120)... i doubt i can actually find something that sounds better and as comfortable as the ksc-75... though i actually find that the new cables are a lil too flashy to my liking
Statements above are all just IMHO.

tachi..the ksc75 was never muffled ler. maybe it was the other canalphone that was in your ears yesterday lol. As for me, the recabled 75s have improved bass response and a tad improvement on the clarity and a slight decrease of the highs which can sometimes can shrilly..and ofcourse all this is IMO and YMMV.
as for your detailed headphones .. me likes the dreamy one
muffled...?

i think its the opposite

for sure, the spark plug which is around the same price as ksc-75 do perform EXTREMELY bad, and very very "muffled" is the proper word to describe it. Never expected the same brand with a close price range can be this much of a difference

And yea, i do prefer the "dreamy" types as well, sometimes, certain details can be a spoiler to a pleasant track and its better not to hear them
