Iphones only have 1 model each year , even if they don't drop the price , consumers will buy if they want since there's no other choices for IOS device |

Also take into consideration that Apple only produce ONE phone per year, unlike Samsung who produce more than one phones per year, so it's safe to say that it is a pretty normal process. Technology is ever changing, gets better everyday. It's good that Samsung utilize it and keep the phones up to date.
