I guess should avoid 32GB and 64GB Sandisk on Note II.
I'm using my 16GB Sandisk since Note I and it's still performing fine..
*
I don't know. I believe it is luck of the draw. Have one 32gb SanDisk bought first quite a number of months ago which is being used in one of my S3s, no issue to date. Got another one, same capacity, in another S3. This one developed problems after only 2 months. Had it RMA'ed. Up to now, problem free. Using a 16gb, SanDisk also in my Note2. So far, no problems. So, there you go. I think, like any products, it depends how lucky or unlucky one is.

Hmmmm............How many of u agree with this ? Some are true but some are just user problem .

Impartially, what were raised are all good. Having those suggested functions/features will only make the OS better.

I dont think i understand what is BBS dumpfile or nehalem176. I think it is more to sync issue as pointed out by antt00 below.
It has been off all the time. Contact --> Accounts ---> Sync Setting.

The problem with this auto sync is, it doesn't allow us to select which apps to auto sync, which apps not to. I am afraid that it will sync my facebook contacts too and end up clogging my contact list. Nevermind, I will try to enable it and block my FB instead. Thanks
*
I thought you could selectively disable syncing under Accounts in Settings?

Lol! Anyways I have found the solution after pressing here and there! smile.gif just delete it from the download "app"
*
Just to acquire some knowledge, so what you are saying is even after uninstalling an app, it will still be in the phone system, under Downloaded Apps?

I suspect it was a failed download with multiple retries, so the system keeps retrying.

So, it is more the exception than the norm?

I can only suspect, since low level monitoring of Android is a little tough unless one has the time and inclination to run stacktrace/logcat and trace it all the time. This is based on my own understanding of desktop OS operations.

Alright, thanks. It can be quite easily checked. I shall do a little experiment on my own.

There is none and that's the very reason I do not use it though I really like it.

Would like to add. Why doesn't Samsung have a hole cut out for the Notification Light to emit through since it is an integral feature of their phones especially now that they have a huge cut out(for the clock) for their flip cases for S4?

Coz they haven't yet established a design committee to review, assess, make a focus group study, review again and approve the change? laugh.gif
*
Jesting aside I think they are more into macro rather than micro issues, just like a lot of management, which is sad.

As a corollary, when management starts to focus on micro issues, it gets even worse....u get +++management overhead and u still need to do yr task.

Well, we can maybe start a side business by bulk buying flip cases with no led hole, punch a hole and markup rm10 or so for sale haha since there seems to be an obvious demand.
*
To expand on my observation of micro management will be digressing from the topic which may invite unsavory comments. However, I concur with your point on same.

Perhaps all relevant resellers should pick up on your idea. Let them make the money.

the best way is to buy a high quality belt hole puncher, you can punch many hole sizes

or you can find a cobbler to punch a hole for you.
*
You know what? I just might do that. TQ.

if you plan to buy one, im not sure where you can find high quality ones, i bought one from Giant but its not sharp enough.

If you have friends working in Fashion retail store, especially those like AX, Zara all those, they have good quality ones because they also afraid to damage the belts.

I'll have a hole made in a good leather goods outlet. And I will do it myself. Do not want someone screwing it up for me.

This is not a new phenomenon. It has been known to happen periodically though not very rampant.

Hello guys.

Just receive my Note 2 but last week, but apparently I'm facing troubles already.

My phone auto screen lock is not working anymore, its working few days ago. But it's not auto locking from this morning.

Anyone experience this before?
*
It could be a 'problem' with your Smart Stay. Disable it and that could solve the issue.

Hi there.

I didn't use SmartStay. I didn't turn it on. I believe it is because of some 3rd party apps that is causing it. As for the reason I'm not so sure.

SmarStay works only when we held it up facing it right?
*
When you said you didn't turn on Smart Stay, please advise whether the function is actually un-ticked in Features under Display in Settings. The reason is you, from what you have posted, do not seem to know what the feature is.

So, it was really the rogue app which is the proximate cause.

True only to a certain extent. Prices will reduce but not as drastic as the other devices.

You know the irony of the aforesaid 'OT' exchanges.

It completely ratifies my last post in the S4 thread just as all these started. Most of you summed up my sentiment on such characters. Not only, when confronted with a dilemma, did he have no decent discourse, he went so off tangent that only reflected he devious ways.
