QUOTE(ameil @ Mar 28 2013, 07:40 PM) Can I apply credit card without any payslip? I'm using DBS for my pay.. and it's my first month... do they need 3 months pay slip? I'm sure you could just open a $1 million saving or current account with the bank and they wil waiver the pay slip requirement.

QUOTE(megadisc @ Mar 28 2013, 05:48 PM) less than 1.0% ... so everyone forced to go unit trusts... ETFs and REITs listed on the SGX are a much better alternative compared to unit trusts. The management fees are much lower, and because they are listed, they are much more transparent & liquid and the transaction fees/commissions are also lower. Unless there's a very specific exposure you're looking for, there's really no good reason to go with unit trusts just to earn a reasonably stable higher return. Can also consider bank bonds listed on SGX like the Big 3 banks' fixed dividend notes. For example OCBC's 5.1% $100 notes pay $5.10 per year (actually $2.55 every 6 months, so the effective return is slightly higher due to compounding). You can also take advantage of NTUC fixed income guaranteed capital policies but those only pay 1.4% per annum ie. about 0.5% more than bank FD rates. But quite safe and a viable option if you like the security of FDs. This post has been edited by seantang: Mar 28 2013, 10:40 PM

Not too sure about cover charge but normally a bottle of liquor like whiskey, vodka or VSOP cost around S$300 in top clubbing place, which let you admit 3 people/bottle.

Also never drink beer during clubbing. Maybe S$30-$50 + 1 free drink ? SGD$300/3 = S$100 per person bro. Where you wanna go ? St James or Clarke Quay ?

The photo shows a customs $500 fine, but for what? 1 stick? 19? 1 carton? Could even be a crate of liquor for all we know. Whoever took the picture, in my opinion, covered up the customs letter on purpose and just anyhow bullsh*t a story only. Having said that, I don't smoke so it doesn't affect me

Urban legend say that if the pack has been opened, the custom don't care you. Friend brought in a new pack, fine 200 sgd.

If you wanna smuggle, then prepare to take the stick.
