Welcome. Then you must prepared to give an honest reason on why you leave the company in less than 2 months because they will definitely do a reference check.
Most company doesn't like employee who job hop & unable to perform.

But he is talking about termination not resignation. is different.

Hi,

Recently I just got terminated for an employment less than 2 months in Singapore. My question is:

1) Is it advisable for me to delete that employment in my future resume? I m worried that other companies can check.

2) Will my S Pass or employment pass be greatly affected by the termination?

Thanks in advance.
*
Is this your first job in Singapore?
Just a head ups, your potential employers will be able to check if you've worked in Singapore before. However, I am not too sure if they are able to trace your previous employers/tenure with the company.

Well...true enough...
However, if I earn S$2500 in SG but RM5000 in Msia then I would stay in Msia.
*
but then again if u can earn RM5k in Malaysia, then most probably u can get SGD 5k in SG then laugh.gif

I try to write what I feel about working in SG so far not much work today hehe. Please give your input especially your MY experience all are welcome.

I started my working life in SG. Never work in MY so I don't know about the pay scale, culture, organization and cost of living there. Seeing many Malaysians coming to SG to work, I guess SG is better.

Input from my MY colleagues who worked in MY before, things like electronics, food, clothes, travelling are generally "cheaper". Cheaper in the sense of the cost % over income. Partially due to the stronger currency exchange for SGD. I assume this is the main attraction for graduates to come here as those are the things they are chasing at that age?

After some time we move to another kind of needs. Housing, transportations and setting up a family. Everything change from there. Not so cheap after all. For dual income, maintaining a car is affordable. We plan to get another car recently because our working hours varies, either me or my BF has alternate OT. After calculation and the new budget we gave up the thought. Our place is 30 mins walking distance up hill from the nearest bus stop. Try going up hill with heels before saying 30mins is ok... If one of us OT, the other one have to force to stay back too because we share one car. The cab queue around my workplace is even worse than the MRT queue. Petrol is cheaper though - about 2.2 for 98UL per litre and MY Ron 97 is 2.9 per litre.

We can't buy HDB because we both have properties here and oversea. My parents hate me so they put my name in the house before they went back. Next choice is condo, dual income, pay until retired. Waiting for the second wave of cooling measures. Landed... don't even dare to think. So yah well over marriage age but still waiting. And the government is complaining of low fertility rate among residents. Kids will be another level of needs - akan datang lol.

Yup. In Singapore, you would never get rich if you are working for people. Basicly, graduates are helping the richer getting richer.
If you really want to have a future or financial freedom, why not thinking of starting your own business empayer?
You may earn alot & enjoy a luxurious life by working for people now, however, what happen if suddenly you get sick & unable to work permanently?
And do you think your employer will still want you or keep paying you salary when you no longer able to perform & as productive as you used to be?
You work so hard till you neglect your health & you realize money not everything.
*
How is this not applicable outside SG? sweat.gif

Anyone here familiar with dependent pass?
For dependent pass holders, if they want to work, the employer needs to get the letter of consent (loc) from MOM, correct?
With loc does it mean the dp is still valid?

And what's the different if employer apply for s pass/ e pass or loc?

Thanks.

Mee too. In fact this is the biggest reason I move to SG.

I worked in MY for 12 years and moved to SG 1.5 years ago.
I suffered a big drop in my standard of living. Used to have 2 cars (fully paid) and 2 apt units (fully paid) in MY.
Can only afford a used car (on loan) and rent a HDB in SG.
But the fact that my kids can roam freely in the park is priceless and worth the sacrifice.

Of course we never let our guard down. We still practice the same level of alertness wherever we go!

My wife was on DP.
After she found a job in SG, her employer applied EP for her.
I forgot what happen to her DP pass (the physical card)... either it was returned to MOM when my wife collected the EP, or I returned it to my company HR.

for me, maybe i didn't work at big city before, only work at my kampung which is small and live simple life. so for me, SG life is better than MY life for me. wish my career can turbo on like you. rclxms.gif

Are you guys been paid well there ? For example, if you are getting RM10K a month in Malaysia, do you get SDG10K a month there for the same kind of job and duties and responsibilities ? That's my question to you. Please answer truthfully.

I am happy for you that you are getting a good pay. Let's hope it is not playing the conversion game.

Thanks bro for your explanation. Do you manage to save every month there ? May I ask why did you work migrate there looking at the high expenses incurred monthly ? PM if not convenient here.

Its more like a family house equal share between bro, sis and me. I am only a temporary caretaker. They treating it like a hotel, come and go with all their things still inside the rooms vmad.gif So we need another place to start our family.

Lol can imagine after having kids, every interest is for the the kids already. Last year quite a number of rumours that people taking the young kids away in the public. Have to be careful also.

You all employ nanny or put at day care center? My nephew came last month thanks to the Suluk invasion, the temporary nanny we got is expensive, 2.5k for baby < 1 year old. They are coming back end of year for few months to renew their REP so I am looking out for nanny for nephew.
