yes few parts are very hard to find in 1 store..u have to organize/distribute the parts between 2 or 3 stores to save on shipping cost..

mine 75% of all the parts are used parts..and the parts are in well condition. only some dust here n there..since the tumbler is covered in black parts, so its quite ok to use used parts..cannot really seen the difference between new & used biggrin.gif

which version of tumbler? there are many versions in the internet..some small one also..

Good luck! and dont give up!  thumbup.gif

I'm on tumbler from set 7888. Its great then I've decide to use mix of used and new part for remain of my tumbler. Of course if possible try to get the new one.

Crazy, 5k parts, I rather go for Green Grocer + Cafe corner because I'm avoiding SW at all cost sweat.gif . too poisonous thumbup.gif .

pergh! is that ur next project? 5000+++ parts..it will take forever! hahah tongue.gif

Tumbler is around 100+ part already feel sweat.gif .Now just manage ordering half of the parts, and this took me 1 month of a lot of browsing and picking. But but ..... I couldn't imagine how it feel to source part that is well over 5k....i mean the dedication and will to own one. Really notworthy.gif

But how is the feel to source part that is well over 2k....i mean the dedication and will to own one.

happy toy

Lol looks like everyone is busy MOC-ing now. Totally agree that MOC process is super fun especially sourcing for parts and building it. Maybe I can start doing it when I have free time laugh.gif Any other sites which provides details of bricks needed besides peeron.com?

Anyway for those looking for Brickmasters in Borders e@Curve, they only have Brickmasters City and Atlantis.

Actually more like busy with work sad.gif

Got no time to build modular yet due to time and space constraint. Am only getting them now before the price increases lol. I don't even have time yet to build my 9493 X-wing. Anyway thanks for the link. biggrin.gif Gonna browse through and see if anything interesting can be found laugh.gif

Finally! My copy version of the tumbler from set 7888 has completed!  rclxms.gif

Took 2 hours to build due to very hard to see instructions (coz many parts in black) biggrin.gif

Parts:
97% from BL - 3 different US stores using 1st class USPS mail..first time using BL, and its a very good experience for me!
2% from Alanyuppie - cannon & 1x10 brick
1% from Zen store - 3713 technic bush

Price:
RM233 only compare 7888 new set in amazon in $799.99 !  rclxub.gif

The good:
Its big!
New experience using LEGO & BL
LEGO parts by code management tongue.gif

The bad:
Copy not exactly as the original set due to lack of color/rare parts. have to change color of the parts  sweat.gif
Grey brick do not equally same color as light/dark bluish grey tongue.gif hahaha
long hours to define the parts and search in BL > 2 weeks

Sorry for the low version pics..using camera phone only biggrin.gif

and many thanks to kaneishiro for the posion, the guide and the sharing!  icon_idea.gif

Parts:

Nice MOC Tumbler!

I'm actually MOCing the microscale Tumbler and Brent Waller's Tumbler, smaller version and can only fit 1 minifig. So far I have around half of the parts to source.

After this will be Sariel's Tumbler brows.gif

hmmm...
sometime cheapskate me will do some stupid calculation...
eg:
31007 Power Mech
223 pcs
rm99.9
1 brick cost = rm 0.447982062780269

seems expensive per brick, but it's 3 in 1 set. so go ahead and buy...

i wonder is it just me, or you sometime will do this type of calculation/rationing/finding excuse to buy?

or is it better to wait a bit longer for the 10% or 15% discount time only buy?
