But for a guy running non-series hydraulics, it would be nice to have those cooling fins on the slx or zee. I keep on overheating my brakes and they lose some biting force. This sucks when going downhill. I think, for my skill level, even deore will be enough.

But i've been riding my friends better rides and yes, even one grade up, things feel much better.If we can afford it, why not. Get whats best. And in my opinion, its quite ok to overbuild a bike.

Btw, i have a question, anyone know if where we can change the hubs from normal QR to 10mm through bolt on. Its just the axle bolt that needs change right? I have formula sealed bearings.

Owh i see.. Im not using Hope hubs. Im using Formula hubs. OEM ones too. Seems like its very hard to find bolt hubs that can be used with 9 speed cassettes.

Cuz i've been eyeing the polygon cozmic DX and i want a DJ and XC capable bike. Want to make it run like this bike. some thing like this bike that has horiz dropouts.



Or must find hubs like this


Or an axle bolt to replace the hollow bolt in my current hub

It does. Get DH spokes if you can. Strong normal spokes is good too. Im using normal DT spokes and with alexrims supra and my wheels are still true.

Got them for rm2 per spoke like that. Or was it Rm1.50 i cant remember. I bought my rims second hand for rm170.

Used some left over spokes that i have that are still good. Can quite remember how much i spent on wheels.

Noob and newbie here. Just purchase a new MTB 3 months back: Giant Revel 0 29er for RM2K. I know anything <= RM2K I can only get to choose the color but for this model, only have matte black. Haiz... color also cannot get to choose.. but its a Matte Black!

Been cycling around taman averaging 10-12km every week and wanted to get into "action" in the legendary bukit kiara.

I am kinda solo now and looking for some newbie buddy to ride along. Any takers?
