How come the antutu benchmark for this phone scores so much higher compared to Nexus 4? How fast is S600 compared to S4Pro?

Are u sure its plastics?
As far as HTC products in its history, HTC has never used plastics in constructing its phones.

Those are plastic lines(antenna) embossed into the aluminium unibody.

the phone will have no or poor signal if full metal.

they are combining the white thing(non metal meterial) into the metal which make zero gap between them, which mean its very smooth which might just look like a line design draw into the metal.

first set:
i think both pretty same. in L920 the instrument set? is darker colour. but background is still can see bridge there, while HO (HTC ONE) want to more expose the sets, and make the background over expo. you can see the bridge gone d.

2nd set: One appear more shaper

3rd set: L920 looks yellow due to the light "pollution" or longer shutter speed, while HO can capture nearly on par exposure with faster shutter speed...but without the yellow ambient/ pollution lulz ...well this one i think L920 did a good shooting setting there, not sure HTC One can tweat longer shutter speed and lower down ISO to make that or not, if can then HTC one win d.

seems like u never own a HTC WinMo before, coz all of them made from plastic.
Even the first Android the Dream(G1), Magic(G2) also plastic.
