Not 2500 yet, but for the las few pages people keep on asking the same question repeatedly - might as well start a new one with most of the info on the first page...provided these people read it.

I have half a mind to just unsubscribe, but then I might not get the latest news laugh.gif

On a side note, the latest drop test quite...scary. Provided the phone doesn't drop on the screen, the body is quite robust. Shame it can best the Z though.

I've read on XDA that the Zoe feature is tied in to the hardware. Person wasn't sure though and no one else replied to confirm/disprove. Anyone knows? The Zoe feature is the only reason I would be interested in this phone tbh. Coupled with the ultrapixel thingy of course.

Unless of course they decide to release an HTC One II/One+ or whatever their naming convention might be. That'd be awesome biggrin.gif

I tod zoe is something to do with the imaging processing in HTC One? So yea hardware.
But my engineering gf told me is Software imaging processing, not hardware. So i dunno lol

Logically, it should be software. Unless they tie it in to hardware so deep, making a port near impossible without a complete source code.

The only thing I can think off the top of my head where hardware is concerned is the sensor used in the One. As it is, there are no working Zoe ports yet. I think benny-kor mentioned wifey is running sense 5 but Zoe is not working. Even googling around says the same. Although I have read a working Zoe is promised in the near future.

Who knows how well that would run though.

So, if anyone could share if the Zoe is portable, or if there is a similar post-processing app, it'd be brilliant smile.gif

now the ONE is more and more like nokia 808...

self made hardware haha hmm.gif tongue.gif

808 was using different big arse sensor for that haha, the only big arse sensor camera phone in market.

now we got ONE for zoe software? tongue.gif not sure HTC will continue use the ultra pixel tech in future or not, but at least now we can see 808 pattern is gone after lumia 920 tongue.gif

808 was different, it was too bulky for mass product, not much will go for that, it too bulky. (Not talk the OS here).

Nokia still possible bring up similar 808 camera sensor, (at least Lumia 920 is something similar) but before all this happen, it needs to trim down the camera occupied space, it was way too big.

As for HTC One camera part, if this success, I believe it still carry with this Ultrapixel things, at least it never giant size like 808 one, but possible HTC may slightly increase the actual pixel in it 2nd generation Ultrapixel.
