i think 920 did a better job.....livelier/brighter , sharper, and works better in darker environment.

which is more real? tat i dunno but i like 920's pics more

Higher megapixel is definitely a bonus when it comes to the amount of details you want. Htc One seems to produce more natural colour compared to Iphone 5. Iphone 5 has more saturated color reproduction (except for the portrait pic of the lady).

TBH, I don't see how the low light pic is better. Fellow sifu's please fill me in

but i do know that higher megapixel doesn't mean it has better details base from my personal experince
i think higher megapixel can print larger photo

Wow..all of you will only buy the phone if this phone have the very best camera on the planet..?
I would buy this phone because I like it and I feel it fulfill most of my basic needs. If I want a very good pictures.. I would buy a standalone camera.

my DNA is limited verizon employee version. it's same matirial as the black butterfly but in red colour.

hope that Zoe feature is part of sense 5.

Sell it if you wish to buy the better performance phone.

Nahh..i'm not an avid photographer. For me any type of built in camera on phone will do as long as there is one.
But camera won't be a dealbreaker on any phone for me. That's why i'm suprise because the way some of you arguing/comparing the phone camera specs between Xperia Z and One seems like taking pictures is the only main features you buy the phone.

ya just like your point, people want a all-in-1 device and currently only camera performance is the most questionable thing between these devices. They might be not a photographer why would they spend money on extra device? when current smart phone camera performance is near their standard?

no where near ok don compare cameraphone quality to some PnS like LX5, XZ1 and the RX100 u mentioned, especially in low-light condition, the puny sensor of cameraphone, 42mp also cannot save it. but for me most important is low-light performance, cos now any phone also can do very well under brightly lid condition, no question about it. I dont like to use flash, too fake and spoil everything.

low light condition i'm not sure, i don't go concert so i don't know how bad camera phone vs PnS. i saw RX100 did a good job in shooting in concert stage. but most of the time common people just record anyway so shooting in low light doesn't bother them. unless i see a stupid fella use phone with media pass go near on stage and shoot with phone.

Because HTC emphasized on the camera as one of its selling point from the very start. That's why people start comparing. Simple as that.

i know what you mean, just people wants more upper hand on camera performance mah. if they only want camera build-in in phone only without buy extra one.

as if XZ and HO for me both are andriod device, so it is same for me. i duno la i not own andriod device yet, i also doing research with colleague and here.

so samsung sure no-no for me lulz, because my colleague said the SD card destroyer in SIII issue, and touch wiz too.
duno S4 yet.

HTC sense i'm not sure since this one is sense 5, way big difference with current one so i had to wait for both device to come out to play with. watched the first hands on video form pocket now, i'm no problem with that sense 5 temporary judge from video.

camera performance i actually curious what device will perform better, that is like my 60% of concern of my next phone list. as if i usually shoot with phone most of the time, although i carry DSLR everyday.

audio wise i think it is personal preference, i think good enough for me.

SD card slot..nah even i use 16GB nokia also never full memory.

and XZ seems not good with loud speaker because of water proof feature. which is not really useful for me and i 100% rely with alarm from my phone one. ONE might is a good choice here.

and current tread of smart phone beside social apps and those other utility apps in market, the other thing need to bring attention is camera feature. most of the time.... you see most of the phone now all highlight camera performance in ads one.
