ya ultrapixel and lower down the mp is very bold move. not to mention the sound recording with dual membrane microphone. and 4.7 inch screen also consider abnormal according to current market is 5 inches.

not sure sense 5 la, i think it is also another big change compare to older one like 808.

808 that time intro also like that, people argue 41mp is over kill bla bla bla and symbian OS is dead bla bla bla .

this ONE is argue about maybe errr:

1. metal body with antenna gate issue like iphone 4? (but they cleared it with description in website?)
2. 4mp camera obviously, and camera performance judging last time the ONE X poor performance
3. sense 5 design, especially the new one ZOE and blinkfeed
4. new arrangement of the 2 buttons instead of 3
5. sound recording.
6. maybe 2k mAh battery instead of improve it like note II

I didn't really cared much about the 808 because it's never meant to be any form of flagship for Nokia. Hmm I do agree with you on all six points. You forgot something: BoomSound! Anyways, based on my readings it sure seems like people are too overzealous in criticizing it's Ultrapixel camera. Probably all these cameras started to matter again the moment the 808 came out. Then again, somehow I do feel that even if the Ultrapixel do suck in some ways, especially in the zooming part, the One provides a more complete experience as compared to Xperia Z & S4 IMO. Recent news suggest that many people are beginning to realize it too! If only they can market this product better, it will definitely help HTC to rise up again.

Yeah true that. I personally never fell for their gimmicks. Sadly enough the marketing was so great people willing to fork out a thousand bucks for their headphones, thinking it's worth it. Anyways, I would love to try listening to BoomSound myself to be sure that it's the real deal haha.

There's one thing that worries me based on the review, which is the battery drain on standby. Seems like it's a recurring problem.

I don't think there's any way for it to improve the 100% crop performance due to it's low MP count (4MP vs 13MP on S4) but I do feel that it still can be improved in it's native resolution without zooming in. There's already a software enhancement which improves the photo quality considerably well which has been mentioned in this thread already. Here's the link to that article on GSM Arena. IMO GSM Arena uses the non updated version of the HTC One to do the comparison review.

the battery score, i think they did explain on usage, the One score good. It's the idle time which the One still consume alot of power. Thus lowering the overall score of the One
