Hello there, I've been eyeing on both Xperia Z & the HTC One. So far I'm more inclined towards the HTC One. Being a current HTC Desire HD user, I'm very concerned about battery life of this upcoming phone, since the HD sucks hard on battery life. Anyhow here's another review on the HTC One. Seems like it's not really good hmm.

QUOTE(ivn79 @ Mar 14 2013, 11:53 AM) But it scores big for the battery endurance test by Expert Reviews Hmm that's pretty promising. Pretty inconsistent results so far. Guess we can only know for sure after it's widely available across the globe right. I really hope that the battery life is significantly improved over the HOX since that's one of the reasons why I skipped it entirely. 17 hours of 3G talk-time and 8.5 hours video playback! http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-one-battery-life-168420/ |

QUOTE(ivn79 @ Mar 15 2013, 03:22 PM) Aiya... ONE is all the WAY! I didn't regret at all when i make my decision to buy DHD 2 years ago and it run smoothly even until today. That's why i had the same feeling like before that ONE is my next phone. Although nowadays smartphone don't really can tahan more 2 years with undying technology invention every day, but i really hope that ONE will able to make it. I'm not a player in smartphones that why wat i need is about quality and it's functionality. I gotta agree with you on this, especially on the Desire HD part, being a fellow user too. Eight-core or watever core i don't care, because HTC has ingeniously utilizing their 1.7 quad-core to make it really performs in it's their latest Sense functionality and no doubt ONE will bring MORE smile to me everyday. If the new HTC One still provide tons of customization options as it's predecessors, that would be really awesome. |

I wonder one thing, will the Youth Communication Package smartphone rebates applicable to the upcoming 2013 flagships like the HTC One?

QUOTE(SnailWithFingers @ Mar 17 2013, 11:16 PM) I want htc one!!! Some people are so greedy....just like me..Lol. I am attracted by htc butterfly, now being attracted by htc one! Lol, as for me I've been attracted to so many phones and yet to make my decision. This goes way back since Xperia Arc days to HOX, Nexus 4, Xperia Z and now this lol. As for the price, here's hoping it to be RM 2,199 to be competitive with the upcoming S4, which most likely will take that price IMO. the unique metal!! wanna play price guessing? I think it will be around 2300-2400 Lol |

QUOTE(SnailWithFingers @ Mar 17 2013, 11:24 PM) I guess 2300-2400 because it is better than htc butterfly with pricing rm2299 at market lol so i think it will be more expensive?? Probably you might be right. Mine's just wishful thinking haha. yeah initially i was making choice between nokia lumia 920 and htc butterfly but i choose hd screen with micro sd cards slot to store more photos (i like to take pictures) Oh the Lumia 920 is a really nice phone with decent hardware especially that camera. Too bad it's devoted to the wrong OS sadly. Owh regarding microSDs, you're aware that this phone doesn't support it right? But there's 2 variants, 32GB & 64GB versions. Hopefully that'll be enough for your photography needs haha. By reading tons of reviews there's two things to take note of bout HTC One, which are: 1) 4MP Ultrapixel shots consume smaller storage space as compared to 8MP shooters 2) HTC Zoe functionality tends to eat up space due to the video making feature. |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Mar 17 2013, 11:50 PM) Me too. I'm hoping that even the carriers will bring in both flavors. Nowadays games can easily go up to 2GB each. I wonder how much does the OS takes up for this phone. On my friend's Nexus 4, it's somewhere between 4-6GB if I'm not mistaken. |

QUOTE(SnailWithFingers @ Mar 17 2013, 11:54 PM) Yup!! Nokia lumia 920 has really good camera, it is my first choice because of good camera but when i saw htc butterfly, my decision is shaken~ Personally I believe that Sense UI on Android is the most aesthetically pleasing manufacturer's UI. I can understand that feeling haha. The screen is also even better than Xperia Z in certain aspects. 4MP ultrapixel is better than 8MP right? I read somewhere it can take very good low light pictures previously i have thousands photo in my iphone 4s and you know what, it consumed up to 10 gb space 32 gb is definitely enough for me i think plus if it has free dropbox or similar i can always sync to reduce space usage Hmm it's pretty subjective, depending on what you want. If you're into cropping pictures and stuff, the 4MP is not that good because it lacks sharpness and detail, but on native resolution it's good enough I guess, judging from the sample shots online. You can check out some photo comparisons here. Pocketnow seems to have made quite detailed comparison shots against other phones so it's worth checking out. From what I can see it's really good at low light, not so much on broad daylight. Lol I suppose you can still take that much shots with the new phone, because of the smaller file size. Oh on Dropbox, I think they should offer it most probably. 25GB for 2 years hopefully? |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Mar 20 2013, 12:26 PM) iPhone 5 - still look good. Sorry I can't read Chinese, do they mention which one is possesses more true to life colors?Xperia Z - totally out, sharpness details all gone, Sony need to stop high compress mechanism use, it was over compress till details not there. HTC One - still the best in sharpness, probably due to it capable catch more light and big F (aperture), need to be careful when snapping, I notice certain bright area will slightly over expose (2nd batch photo quite obvious on the sign board below part) compare with others. Summary: HTC One winner here. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Mar 20 2013, 01:28 PM) Summary from the reviewer. Thank you very much. 1st group - HTC One white balance the best, more 3 dimensional feel. - Color reproduction still iPhone 5 nearest to actual. - Xperia Z comment cancel due to the tester set wrong white balance. 2nd group - iPhone had better 3 dimensional but it can't show the interior, almost dark. - Xperia Z had better color saturation. - HTC One less vibrant. 3rd group - iPhone 5 accurate white balance. - HTC One better depth of field (DOF). - Both HTC & iPhone 5 can produce sharp and details. - Xperia Z is more soften, less details. (like wipe off) * My Opinion - Xperia Z like lost it macro fucntion, the flower was so blur. 4th group - iPhone 5 cannot generate the golden feel, look a bit dull. - HTC One is more balance in this group, produce most near to actual object. - Xperia Z comment cancel due to the tester set wrong white balance. HDR - The most obvious different was HTC, it can showing out the details and maintain the 3 dimensional. - Xperia Z & iPhone look dull after on the HDR. * My opinion - Xperia Z HDR look terrible, HTC One HDR was outstanding, this is the correct HDR suppose. Panorama - HTC & iPhone both look natural, but HTC pixel count less than iPhone. - Xperia Z unnatural look. |

QUOTE(alfredtwl @ Mar 26 2013, 08:38 AM) Great review haha. The reviewer, Brandon claims that he tested the unit for 11 days. Based on the battery life performance chart, it's not something to be worried about from the looks of it. |
