all aftermarket, it is considered as a gift from sa

I heard that sone of us negotiated for a change of money instead of theBK. Ask SA to give in cash, look for your own BK.

Anyone knows if the bodykit given free by the SA is original or aftermarket part???

I was told that all are aftermarket. Is it true???

Is like that, if you want bodykit, the moment car arrive, the SA will send to car accessories pasang for you. So, don't be surprise if you see some mileage if you asked SA give you free tinted and bodykit.

If you don't want bodykit, you may get cash back or discount up to RM1000.

Thanks. Still wondering if getting Forte is the right choice. Tested the 1.6 model, feel a bit sluggish to move from stagnant. For sure it's going to impact hard on the fuel consumption.

I have been driving a 2.0 for almost 2 months. Never regretted buying it. I am a bloody kiasi fellow so I have read through all the threads in reverse manner from thread V16 that time. I decided to place booking after I have finished V10 and some of the S'pore threads, international reviews, discussing with open minded friends. I did those and I know what to expect out of the car. You should do that too, because if you are expecting a BMW build, you will bound for disappointment.

My comments on the car:-

Good

1) Very very fun to drive especially with the paddle shift (2.0 do not need to change to triptronic mode to downshift)
2) Lots of practical gadgets to play with (love the bluetooth connectivity, MDPS, chromatic rear view mirror, rear view camera). Don't know how to drive without them now
3) Safety (TC saved me once conciously)
4) Fuel consumption for me is currently 12km/l - 12.5km/l using RON95. 80% H, 20% C, with highway vroom vroom at constant 110 - 130km/h, daily 20 minutes light jam in total before and after work
5) Do not know why but the car boosted my ego (not sure if this is good)
6) Stable handling at high speed (maybe it is because the car is heavy)
7) Quiet cabin (barely hear engine noise from cabin at stagnant)
8) Cannot stop looking at it when I am at home and cannot wait to drive her back during off work
9) Lots of hidden features (not published) which might save you in some of the times

Bad

1) If I were to do step by step car upgrade the next time (to D segment), I am not sure if any other brand car can give me the same gadgets, driving assistance and safety without poking a hole in my wallet
2) SpeedNavi GPS is not that great but can make it to PAPAGO
3) No auto up side window
4) Bloody noisy, hard tyre
5) Car tend to flex too much to my liking, affected the my braking style, but I fixed it with foaming
6) Rear absorber too soft to my liking but considering my parents and my future boss (my kids) sitting at the back, better dont touch it. Else can be fixed with the spring cushion at rm 38 (plug and play)

There are a few mild mods that I will want to do (filter and plugs). All plug and play which most of the forumer here claimed that it gave possitive effect. If you need more push, go read our first page. It has all the reason for you to buy a Forte. At that price, maybe more expensive, you buy ToyVi & HonCi & Maz2 & NisAl. Those supposed to be good car (not to say problem free), but they are too honest. All of them are B segment with smaller internal cabin size, kosong car. I am glad I did not choose any of that. All and all, I will be having kids soon and I just want a safe car to drive in. Sh*t happens on the road and there is a reason why they call it accident.

Lastly, your money, your car, your choice.

I don't think Kia do any body kits. So all body kits are after market?
*
all is after market , that is only very limited unit of forte 1.6 that call " LE (limited edition ) " on last year , naza has installed the bodykit and remove some features like bluetooths handsfree.

the car is already fun to drive in stock condition, in my case, after i add in

16' rim + tires - go through potholes with more confident and speed compare to 17'
firestorm - no more sluggish, gear changing is smoother (auto)
chassis foam - more comfortable when go on yellow line and bump, close to conti feel
filter + spark plug - a slight boost in performance? still monitoring tongue.gif

If the clip is broken, some SC will use cable tie to fix it back to original position. It will look as good as new. Just try out at the SC first. Cheers!

Let me warn you. its a disease cry.gif The shop I go to also warned me. You do, feel better, then you will detect other place noisy, then you do other place, then you hear other noises, then the vicious cycle continues. So far I did chassis foaming and door panel sound proofing. Now start hearing tyre noise damn loud @.@ feel like going to do wheel arch treatment icon_question.gif

this thing is not happen in my case, so far i'm happy with the stock sound proof in cabin and etc but i do put the wheel arch treatment into my future upgrade consideration coz the stock condition really quite noisy even before doing the foam, i did some research before decide to do the foam, i contact the seller, only ask price and available time slot then i go, never ask other sound proof products tongue.gif

now when i go on yellow lines, road bumps etc, i can feel the car is more solid and less flexing and it's really conti feel tongue.gif

Ah...I was there for chasis foam too. Under the seats' road noise reduced, but boot very noisy now. Vibration wise, car became bumpier cz less flex. Handling definitely better. Cornering better, braking better. Yellow line less obvious but if go through the big yellow line from Kelana Jaya to Canon bridge, ass still pain. Will go do boot treatment next.
