QUOTE(ohde @ Apr 24 2013, 02:57 PM) don't quite get what u mean for the drop gear. mind to explain more with a situation? Just want to know.. for example, when i am slowing down and gear is dropping, the meter drop down really low. And I had to lift up a bit of my foot and re-press back the pedal. If I keep pressing the pedal while driving the car seems like really slow.. like wanna stop. Is it happened to anybody or it is a common for Forte? Just want to know.. QUOTE(g88 @ Apr 24 2013, 09:12 PM) what do you wanna archive ? 1.6 become 2.0 or 2.0 before 2.4 ? Just a smoother ride. Thats all This post has been edited by danielwan: Apr 25 2013, 11:12 AM

Thats all hmm...for my driving habit, i will release the pedal when i need it to slow down... when the gear drop to no.3 or no.2 (my estimation only, bcoz we don't see the gear number in auto mode) i can feel a bit jerk ("chok" in cantonese). i think what u experienced was the engine break, however i would suggest u go to SC for a checking, especially the gear/gear oil.

Like mine during first couple of months when milage still low, the engine bit sluggish when accelerating after slowing down. Now clocking to 9K (8mths), my ride become smoother. If your forte is older than mine, SC is the best place to get further diagnose.

Dang! Just scraped my front bumper skirts Now the bottom of the skirt is no more smooth.. Has anyone tried to "putty/plaster/cement" their skirting before? If no one has ever DIY it, I'm gonna try experimenting on my own.
