Fastest is to do OD KFK. meaning go to your insurance panel workshop and claim from your own insurance. It wont affect your NCB. What happens is that your insurance will then claim back from the other party insurance.

But you will need to get the police report and keputusan with police saying the other at fault.

It is like 3rd party claim. Just that with OD KFK u can only claim for the damages and not other things such as loss of use which u can with 3rd party claim.

hehe alright thanks not sure with the term OD KFK. Could it be possible that they wait after the 2nd week get the keputusan only make?

stevenc68 is right. Let me share with you my experience when kena langgar on my old previous myvi. I sent to perodua because want to get the genuine parts from perodua. But perodua told me they will not help me on insurance claim procedure and I have to settle by my own. Here are the steps

1. Go to police station next day of accident to buy report. The report stated that is other party fault. get the report. prepare RM10/20
2. go to jpj, to obtain other party insurance information. prepare rm10/20
3. go back to perodua, handover 2 documents to perodua.
4. To make the claim faster, perodua said will claim from my own insurance first. So they send someone get detail from my own insurance. At the same time, they passed my document (1) and (2) to get let my insurance company claim from 3rd party insurance.
5. My own insurance company will release money immediately to perodua SC for repairing. This make repairing faster.
6. NCD will be set to 100% because they release money first
7. My insurance company will claim money from 3rd party insurance. take about 1-2 months
8. You need to verify and check always with your insurance company. after they managed to claim back from 3rd party insurance, make sure they reset your NCD back to 55% (or original discount NCD)
With this process, I believe your SC will get money faster from your own insurance company and fix the car faster.
You have to chase by yourself. That's why we have to drive carefully and avoid any accident even though is not our fault. What to do... Our process of claim is lousy. Some more you have to deal with many parties, Police, JPJ, Insurance, SC... Most of the time, they tell you: "relax lah ..." . Only you chase by yourself will expedite the claim.

thanks bro! but so far my SC have not even communicate any procedure to me yet. I called them and they refuse to pick up. when i call the SC the gurl ask me wait and say will call me back but never... mayb tomorrow i should rage! biggrin.gif

Dang! Just scraped my front bumper skirts cry.gif
Now the bottom of the skirt is no more smooth..

Has anyone tried to "putty/plaster/cement" their skirting before? icon_question.gif

If no one has ever DIY it, I'm gonna try experimenting on my own.

Best to patch it back with some fibre, putty don't work well and will break after sometime.

Superb suggestion bro!
I didn't cross my mind to use Fiber..
Thank you, I appreciate the tip smile.gif

Edit: Hmmm..but how would the colour difference be like? I think I can't be choosy about it. Colour can never be the same like original. A close match would be good enough already.

depend on age of car. 4 speeds should be around Rm5x-60K. 6 speeds still new which near 70K. Better go for new as interest is low and warranty is longer.

all car value depreciate. At least new everything give u confident.

The earliest batch has not hit 5 years hence very hard to say. I now believe in supply vs demand affects the second hand value. I have seen a one generation back altis selling 20k cheaper than its current price when the new generation lauch. You try to imagine what will happen to those owner who bought the altis few months or a year before that.

All in all, I still cannot take my eyes off the car everynight before I walk up my stairs to my bedroom which allows me to see her.

Loving every moment in the car. Did not regret abit in getting this car with this price tag.
