QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 18 2015, 06:19 PM) BNM has proposed to pull out its sole representatives from the investment panels of EPF and Socso, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Chua Tee Yong tells Parliament today I really wonder why BNM wants to pull out. Too much work, instruction from above, no point in sitting there while decisions are made without his/her consent, God knows what, etc If this is what I think it is, we are doing down to the 7th hell (opposite to the 7th heaven). EPF as well? Hope PR can do something to stop this.

QUOTE(puchongite @ May 19 2015, 11:11 AM) KWAP has RM 1.4 b while EPF has RM 1.7 b. To be fair to EPF, from what I read, that RM 1.7 b was investment in 2 companies before they were bought over by 1MDB. And EPF invested in the early years before 1MBD came to the scene. Hope no more of these surprises. Cheerio.

EPF chief executive officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said he doesn't see the pension fund's bond holdings in 1MDB as a risk. EPF had subscribed to bonds issued by 1MDB totalling RM200 million in 2009. It also noted that the EPF has exposure to investments in 1MDB’s subsidiaries, namely Panglima Power Sdn Bhd (PPSB) and Jimah Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd (JEV), totalling RM1.52 billion. http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/e...ting-1mdb-bonds
