so if im 58, and i have 2 mil when i reach 55, can i take the 2 mil out? or i need to wait till im 60.
*
2mil huh??

Sorry for being doubtful...

If indeed you have 2mil... You won't be asking all these

Because after 1mil, you can withdraw anytime the $$$(don't need 55yo), as long balance don't go below 1mil...

And you don't have to take all your acct 55. You can treat it almost as ATM while still enjoy the dividend until 100 yrs old.

As for Acct 60, think of it as 5yrs bond/FD when you are 55-60 yrs old.

Actually your last 5 yrs of 55-60 technically is your peak earning and should be sizeable earning even only 5 yrs. Say you earning 22k a month at 55 at 23% contribution, you would accumulate 340++K ..... that more than what majority of the members % that have less than 250k that always published by epf etc.

The calculation works beautifully. Thanks.

Imo, if have 2 million in epf, your worries will be different. Not about access as this fact can be demonstrated very easily by doing withdrawals abv 1 million.
I can definitely confirm that above 1 million, u can access and no questions asked

Actually speaking...
Many of us worries about EPF too...

Especially now the percentage have increased to 75% which only available upon 55yo.....

Very smart moved.... 10% "free flow" but increased another 5% to 75% retirement account...

After 60 years old, if can work most of us prefer to work few more years else you feel very boring everyday sitting at home. Unless you have earn enough and you can travel around the world but it is only minority of people get to enjoy such lifestyle.

EPF basically is not enough for us to sustain normal lifestyle with living cost increase dramatically thru out the years.

That's why many invest some in stock market and crypto now.

The thing is as we grow older, many shit can happen especially health. Lance Riddick 60 RIP. Last year a member of my favorite JRock band also RIP at an even younger age of 55. A few years back, an ex classmate RIP....just barely 50 or younger .

I think if package can get few years salary + retirement package which is like some low five figure amount. If no package meaning just the low five figure which not really worth it.

Hi all
Has anyone tried requesting EPF statements from dates beyond what is visible via the online portal?
Beyond 5 latest annual statements, we can go to any EPF physical branch and request for a printout correct?
