sign0006.gif I'm also very lucky to hold 16 Principal Cards from 8 banks... all first time approval. Previously record: 17 Principal from 9 banks.

Honestly, why do you want so many cards? Don't you find it bothersome? I have 6 from 5 banks and I'm already kinda bothered by it (paying for the GST). If I can cancel 3 of it I even would but I can't due to ez payment commitment.

I have various cards and not paying for the tax except UOB one card. Some banks want to charge the government tax and I just told them cancel the card. A few days later, bank called up and asked for reasons. I told them do not want to pay tax, the bank staff said can waive.

wow guys, i thought since the implementation of RM50 gst, should cut down ur number of cards? sweat.gif

RM50 of GST is just like a month of cash back, for OCBC Ti. So, if you have several cards that act almost the same, you actually have Z x RM50 x 12 per year, which can easily offset Z x RM50. Another thing is I have 3 cards which are not disposable because those serve as other purposes; but that will be another story already.

For OCBC cards, not really very useful.

But for other bank, sometimes both cards different benefits. For example my colleague just got 2 Maybank2Kard (Platinum and current holder of Gold), been told that RM50 cashback is per card (total RM100). I remember seeing here that's not the case, but that's what the bank told him....

Or having one cash back card and one points-gathering card from same bank.

That has been proven to be false.

i have multiple cards from various banks. I am just saying that your statement about being directly rejected is not accurate.

well bro it depends u apply after or before the new guideline being implemented by BNM... if u apply b4 of course how many CC you want also can... but is that a effective way to managed your finances i am not too sure about it lo...

for me i only consolidate to 2 or 3 CC those that meet most of my requirement... I am attracted to ocbc because of the 5% cash back that all...

And i notice bank always call me to get their card n give me freebies such as cash back n bla bla... eg is citibank and scb... i got citibank with cash back of RM500 (forget what promo dy) and scb with cash back of RM600 (to retained customer that has cancel card for less then 12 months) and the customer service have ask me that they will give me another RM300 if I apply for a supplemental...

the lowest is HSBC only RM200 sigh...

The issue here, you mentioned that "for singapore and chinaman bank anything more then 3 CC is directly reject" which is not accurate. Anyway, out of topic already.

I realised zurich insurance is under the online payee list. Does that mean i will get 5% cashback for paying my Zurich insurance premium?

No. Only 1% for insurance as it doesn't fit into any of the 5% categories.

if u lazy, just go bank straightly, normally they had EPF machine there so they can straightly print out your statement.
(just need your IC)

I done mine during pass by, and get the card after 1-2 week. tongue.gif
