You could put NAS near your pc, media player does not need gigabit to play the movies from NAS.
My NAS is connected to my media player using homeplug, I don't see any playback issues.

I want my NAS in my room because I will be in room for most of the time. Mind sharing the specs of your NAS?

Synology DS410. I let my NAS do the torrent job too. I put my NAS outside my room.

My PC is in my bedroom, I don't want my bed room to be too hot and noisy if the pc have to run 24/7 torrenting.

Let's just say a room with a 4 HDD Nas running is not exactly ideal. The 4 HDD"s generate a lot of heat! Well, unless you have an aircon on all the time..

hi all, my first time posting in this thread. Can any one tell me whether i can change my unifi account holder without unsubscribe it? As 1 of my hs mate is moving out, so i have to change the name of the account holder without changing the line number and paying the registeration fee again.
thanks

Buy a switch (5 ports one will do), an extra HyppTV box(must preset the account), place the switch on the router and link the port4(usual setup for DIR-615 or L7-N-R2000) to 5 ports switch, link either port of switch to Living-Room HyppTV box, pull another network line from switch to you room, and link to the HyppTv box on you room.
Wala! now you can watch HyypTV channels same time at living room and you room!

Hmm does TM permits 2 (or more) Unifi accounts on one IC number? Coz I already have 1 Unifi account at my parents house at Bangi. Next week I want to install another Unifi at my new (own) home at Equine Park area. Is it possible?

is it a good idea? sharing with 4 people now and the l7networks sometimes reboots itself..
