yeah...........Asus 1 to 1 swapped my N7.....collect it this evening......
and according to asus staff there, this is a known problem (the sticky substance on the screen surface)........this is the fifth one that customers send back for exchange !

Guys, Newegg replied me and mentioned that they only have Brown color for Nexus 7 and not black.

I thought N7 only has black and white? Is the Brown = Black or there is brown color exists?

i got mine from them also and that brown is more like black to me.. it's actually dark brown i think..

Ya just grab it. brown is the black. and white are not mean for mass consumers

any cracked apps installed? Try removing them and observe if the issue is rectified. If the problem persistyou should send it to the centre ady.

a quick question about USB OTG cable, if it works for thumbdrive, it should work for HDD, provided it have enough power, right? or is it a hit and miss kind of thing?

all apps downloaded not from Google Play Store. Free paid apps.

Yes depend on your hard disk
It works well with my samsung 1tb disk n no need additional power input
Cable quality too as only one of my 3 cables can connect to it

mine Seagate 1TB USB3.0 work without additional power (sometime)
some hdd need additional power, and can be solve with OTG Y-Cable

theoretically USB2.0 can supply 500mA... and USB3.0 900mA
my usb3.0 hdd if not enuf power, will produce beeb warning sound

it is not advisable to connect your hdd directly to N7 and run it for too long
it will stress ur battery and reduce the lifetime performance
but if u urgently need it... well~ wat the heck... who care
