QUOTE(WIS9000 @ Feb 15 2013, 12:06 PM) hi guys, oh well.. you should have rooted it first in 4.2.1 and use ota rootkeeper to keep your root when you update to 4.2.2just got my new n7 yesterday. it performed OTA updates to 4.2.2. question now is how can i root from this version? otherwise watch out for updates in this thread for v1.63 to release. QUOTE(zaz @ Feb 15 2013, 08:40 PM) Just got my nexus 7. It's a surprise for me that there is no way to connect nexus 7 to projector due to MHL support issue. Can someone assist me some simple workaround for me to connect nexus 7 to projector? Use splashtop. But you need a laptop for that. Thanks Nexus 7 > Connect to Laptop (via splashtop) > Laptop screen come out in Nexus 7. It is what we call Remote Streaming. But, bloody fast and free |

QUOTE(khairullz @ Feb 18 2013, 08:02 PM) hi, might be a super noob tertinggal bas question from me, There's always a way.can nexus 7c make call like galaxy tab 7? if yes, it is great option for cheap quad core tablet+phone Buy 3G version of N7 and third party hardware that support out calling. Or using Skype or any other VOIP app to call to mobile phones (requires in APP credits) just use cheap phones for calling and N7 for everything. |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Feb 20 2013, 03:55 PM) Pricing start from RM79 to RM99. So i guess is within the range. For 3g version, there's 2 microphone. 1 is on top of the microsim slot, 1 is on top of the power button. sir wifi version have 2 mic too.The youtube casing review only has the microphone cut out near the microsim slot. no microphone cut out on top of the power button. So I'm guessing the casing is better to be used with wifi version. |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Feb 20 2013, 04:40 PM) Editted because its not located there.Really? I thought only 3g version 2 microphone. According to gsmarena, this is the wifi version, look at it carefully, no microphone hole on top of the power button. http://www.gsmarena.com/showpic.php3?sImg=...ew=797&idPage=2 if u hold the nexus 7 having the camera at the top. the mic will be at top left and btm left. |

QUOTE(apowerfulskill @ Feb 26 2013, 08:00 PM) hmm. if i were to compare it with earphones and wired headset i cannot find any faults. i am quite an audiophiles freak myself so i tend to feel uncomfortable when i get bad speaker headset/earphone. But this headset never let me down things that you need to take note of - it requires charging (but i usually charge it every 2 days?) and u can still use it when you charge it with the usb cable. Quite a long cable so no different with normal wired headset. - somehow the size doesn't fit my ear well Other then the fact that it does not require AA batteries (uses lithium instead jst like our smartphones) and it is wireless (thank god i love this so much) it just work well. Well spend RM 100 for me. You have 1 year warranty too if im not wrong. oh ya, it works well with our baby nexus 7. Both the sound and mic |

If I'm not wrong ASUS centre in Lowyat is not directly under ASUS. They're just outsourcing.
That might explain the lack of real communications between them. This post has been edited by Nels: Mar 5 2013, 12:21 AM |

QUOTE(kopykopy @ Mar 14 2013, 04:35 PM) Dear Guys, Having a Nexus 7 make me ditch my Android phone (I will only use it as tethering). Somehow I end up wanting to receive everything on my Android phone screen (Text and Calls) on my Nexus 7 screen instead. There's of course an app for that.I have used a LG Nexus 4 for 1.5 months and absolutely love it. So I I wanna buy a Nexus 7 32GB Wifi only (I dont know the price but maybe around RM900?). However, i have read some website articles that say Google I/O in May gonna Launch new Nexus 7.7 Articles say Nexus 7.7 will be:- 1. same price as N7; 2. built by LG; 3. with 7.7 inch screen; 4. conflicting articles say will launch 8GB only or 16GB / 32GB. Do you think I should wait another 2 months? I will want 32GB but not 16GB or less. And I want Wifi only. why buy with cellular when can thethering from Handphone data plan? Actually I am not urgently in need of it. just that my children and wife now monopolise my iPad already. And also itchy to have a Google Tablet experience. That being said, I tend to use Nexus 7 a lot until i treated it like a phone. (But no I don't call people I just like receiving and replying notifications all in one place) but its lacking something. A back camera. New Nexus 7 I'm positive they will have a back camera as well as front ones. Plus, with better screen size and HDMI enabled ready, and I'm sure Google will surprise us with more stuff (Android 5.0 maybe?). But, the waiting is not only until May. The stock will most likely release somewhere early June, then reach malaysia somewhere early August (just like Nexus 7). If you can wait then it is fine. But the price for 32GB = definitely won't be at RM900. RM900 should be 8GB or if we are lucky 16GB (doubtful if they added more cool hardwares) If you buy now no you won't have any regret. Nexus 7 is great plus all its libraries are live online. Don't worry about future updates (i would say). This post has been edited by Nels: Mar 14 2013, 05:12 PM |
