Guys, In case anybody wanna register as a member or just wanna check the gym out, my friend is working @ FF The Curve. I really recommend her cause I knew her when I went for trials @ CF MidValley and she was not pushy at all!

She explained from top to bottom and even told me that if I really wanna do some serious bbing, fitness centres are a waste of money cause lack of bb-ing equipments and are aimed for ppl who wanna be active and lean out - so you dont get to enjoy the other facilities such as classes / sauna / steam so much. Imagine a consultant telling you that!

Her name is Zaklean. Go find her if you dont want to see a membership consultant from hell!

The monthly fees vary according to the type of membership you have (local versus passport) and the length of your membership (yearly versus monthly). I suspect that the joining fee can vary from 0 - 300 RM, based on anecdotal evidence.

On my end, I pay about 175/month for a yearly passport membership. I have no idea what everyone else is paying, though.

I've since learned to accept that the customer service is going to be inconsistent at best at Fitness First. I tend to encourage people set on joining FF to get the Passport membership, simply because it doesn't tie you down to any one (horrible) branch.

I've heard Menara Axis has the best service/equipment, but I've never actually been there--so I can't judge.

The Curve is pretty terrible during peak hours, too. So far, the only FF location I've found that doesn't get unbearably crowded is the Uptown one (but it's also the worst outlet, which would explain a lot).

Free parking inside Axis itself is free after 6pm. Axis tend to be packed with people but depends on where you go lah. Free weights/classes/stretching area are always packed before and after office hours no matter which gym and which branch you go to - especially the ones near working areas.

Axis has the best equipments for free weights IMHO. But the parking n jam is a b*tch there - Curve n IOI has RM1/entry and not so jammed the area. My friend Zaklean is going to Maxis next month so while she's at The Curve go and find her for a no-bullshit service. Learn to haggle too smile.gif

Added on August 13, 2007, 10:44 amOh ya Uptown tend to be less crowded off-working hours but the outlet is pretty small, equipments are v little and parking is a nightmare.
