i think it depends on how you use it and what you meant by "last longer"??
if normal riding in dry conditions, for sure you don't see much improvements... but if you ride in the wets, dirty and muddy conditions... those are great cables... at least it won't get the cables grinding against parts of the frame covered with dirt and wearing any PTFE or teflon coats off..
in that sense, i believe it will last longer as in the shifts will be smoother for a longer period of time...
even if the shits are shitty... you can then find replacement cables like powercordz or some teflon shimano or jagwire ones and replace the inner cable only leaving the entire liner and housing in tact as those buggers last a long time... the liner might go first, but it is actually something that can be purchased from Nokon or Alligator cables separately....
even the idiot who says he can afford the RM400 is using my old pair of SRAM Professional housings with jagwire inner cables... so far, still working...
bar tape coz old one still ok ma... cable can give a significant improvement ma.... so RM200 worth to spend (since i nvr didn't put so much money on my bike ever since... so.. abit bit is ok de...)
i not garang... i benggang because this idiot here is wasting our international links listening to his songs which he could have just kept on his iphone or computer while my porn is taking 10 years to download... WTF!!!
