talking bout bike lane... it remind me of a place...
some where at sri damansara... a straight steep road (around 200 hudnred meters only i guess) with a proper drawn (look new the paint) bike line.. is big bike line... very proper one... but on the particular 200m steep road... itis so wide that normal car able to drive thru it... well i think you all can guest it become the third lane for all the motor car... no body give a shit bout the bike lane... it just look weird that they made a bike lane just at the 200m steep road... |

QUOTE(chocolatepallette @ Mar 7 2013, 12:11 PM) i wonder why Malaysia is not a bicycle friendly country, especially in Klang Valley my simple answer... you don't pay road tax for your bike...1. no bicycle lane 2. no bicycle parking at shopping malls + LRT/KTM stations 3. barely got trees/proper shelther for cyclist why oh why? QUOTE(vin_ann @ Mar 7 2013, 12:21 PM) imagine: my question... you rather want car or you want bike??? car you drive everyday, bike you ride it every once in a while or when you feel like it...sell 1 national car can benefits hundred if not thousand of people... sell 1 bicycle only can benefits few if not ten or more of people waits until we become developed country, bicycle will become more important... bicycle will never become important to us.. because it is more of a hobby rather than a necessity like any other mode of motorized transportation... |

QUOTE(chocolatepallette @ Mar 7 2013, 02:40 PM) klang valley so jam, so more you want to encourage people to drive, make the jam even worst the govt. standard answer to your jam problem is take public transport... QUOTE(chocolatepallette @ Mar 7 2013, 02:40 PM) i will use car at minimal level, save money and save the earth, petrol price is unstable unfortunately, not everyone thinks like you... that is the real problem... at least more than 50% of the female population will already say "Tak Nak" to cycling as a mean of transportation replacement... that is easily 1/3 of the battle lost...plus i really love riding bike around, too bad they dont allow bike on LRT/KTM, if not, it's easier to go around KL with bicycle |
