U r comparing 230k wirh 120k... however u prefer 120k
WTF is that... lolx. Have some mercy to VW

Wrong comparison. If you take GTI vs 408T, story totally different. The price is also 230vs120k

So the main point is you pay with cheaper price to get a turbo feel vehicle, where else to get this bargain? 5years warranty bring peace of mind as well. Well worth.

You want save more money, buy the fake turbo prexx... doh.gif

I drove a VW Sharan to Taiping yesterday, it took around 2/3 of the tank, roughly RM150 petrol (Ron95).

Well, the driving experience is not bad and German knows how to make car. In the whole trip, I dont really feel that I am driving a big car or I am being ignorant but I am impressed.

But then in the end of the day, I still like the naughty element of my car. Powerful and fast. Why I say so?

1. Driving at 140 on Sharan, I feel that the car is slightly floating. I think it is because the car is high and too light for that size. It is totally not under power, but I doesnt like to drive fast if the feeling is not right. 408t running at 160 is still steady biggrin.gif

2. Way different tuning of the car. Sharan will be all time at 6th gear even when you are driving at 80. This make Sharan is fun to sit in because you dont feel the jerking of the car. But then, I am power hunger beast biggrin.gif

Then again, I am coparing 230k to 120k. LOL

why not 5008 vs sharan?

I am just sharing based on my experience. Not to put down any car, just to tell you guys buy 408 with no regrets.

Sharan is one of the best 7 seaters because of leg rooms.

Yet, if anyone still feel that I am being unreasonable, please accept my apologize of my lack of experience on all other cars.

anyone here experience when step hard on pedal the air-con will become not cold???
*
I complain the aircond "not cold enough" before, My SA told me not to step too hard all the time.. because this is part of the car's sensor function. When you step hard, the aircond will automatic cut off until your speed is stable. which is to protect the aircond compresor and also give you enough pick up power..

Your SA full of bs. No such thing la! I've done quite a few hard pedal drive, did not affect the air-con.

i m not trying to pin point or whatsoever, i am trying to say that different cars segments have different target audience.

Sharan is aim to provide a family outing all purpose vehicle, which i believe the suspension setup is to provide comfortable experience for the passager

While in another hand, 408T is being setup a little harsh compare to normal car.

if you are taking 5008 & sharan to compare, i would say it's a fair comparison as we are looking at how is the car maker able to make a balance between comfort and stability

Guys,

Will changing and using third party batteries void warranty for other parts of the car, e.g. lamps, circuit boards, etc.?

my SA told me that there were cases where tinting voids warranty...somehow after tinting, door panel was not screwed back properly and rain water leaked into the box (ECU?) in glove compartment.

Changing batt will not void ur warranty.
Abt tinting void warranty, there is the chances where the water leak in which spiil the electrical stuff, but not from the rain. It is due to too much water the workers spray on the window while tinting. But the chance is minimum, and look for better reputation workshop to do the tint instead of ah beng shop.
If SA ask u to go for the tinted he recommended to avoid warranty burned, most probably is that he wanna earn the commission from tinted.
