Saw a 408T overheat and stop on the way to Cameron Highland, but after cool down, continue the journey , offer help to follow behind the car with my Triton just in case it happen again, ( no telephone line along the old road )so bad I can offer my help to Ringlet only as I have to meet customer there.

Guys, watch out of the temperature of the lion, seems like many cases lke this already.

Haha! Pretty much sums it all up, yeah, the last line. Others got the look but not quite the 'feel'. Aren't all 408 owners go for the same reason?

o.. thx for advice! will send sc to check! once let go the pedal will become normal back...

Couple of months before my temperature sensor kaput, the aircond blows hot air occasionally and more frequent few weeks before the sensor totally dead. It happened even during normal speed.

When the temp sensor totally rosak, the aircond only blows hot air and the radiator fan running macam nak terbang..

It is critical but we should not too worry about it. It's just a faulty sensor giving wrong message to ECU. But it's good if Peugeot can seriously look on the reliability of the electronic components so that issue like this will not tarnish the good points of this car.

Problem is defective thermostat sensor. Only that batch is affected. Will be good if Nasim identify the batch and do a call back. Unfortunately I doubt that will happen!

Nazim does not realize, this gives the impression the 408t has an inherent overheat problem! People are already taking about this.

You have obviously found out a lot about this car. For the price it's a great car. Value for money and nothing to match. It's very good on long dist. runs. FC is subjective, all depends how heavy or light your foot is.

Go get your Lion, bro! You will not regret. I've owned my Lion a year+,still enjoy the drive every time! tongue.gif

I drove a VW Sharan to Taiping yesterday, it took around 2/3 of the tank, roughly RM150 petrol (Ron95).

Well, the driving experience is not bad and German knows how to make car. In the whole trip, I dont really feel that I am driving a big car or I am being ignorant but I am impressed.

But then in the end of the day, I still like the naughty element of my car. Powerful and fast. Why I say so?

1. Driving at 140 on Sharan, I feel that the car is slightly floating. I think it is because the car is high and too light for that size. It is totally not under power, but I doesnt like to drive fast if the feeling is not right. 408t running at 160 is still steady biggrin.gif

2. Way different tuning of the car. Sharan will be all time at 6th gear even when you are driving at 80. This make Sharan is fun to sit in because you dont feel the jerking of the car. But then, I am power hunger beast biggrin.gif

Then again, I am coparing 230k to 120k. LOL

I will not compare from a price point, cos a more expensive vehicle does not mean better driving experience. You have just proved my point.

Our Pug is a sedan with sports tuned suspension. This makes a lot of difference. This is the whole and primary reason why you feel great driving the 408t. The rigid sorts tuned suspension gives you the firm ride at 160kmh and will continue to do so even at higher speeds.

Sharan is an SUV,being higher and with softer suspension, will not give you the same firm ride. The floaty feel is due to it's softer suspension.

Goes to show what a great car out 408t is for it's price. Naughty men like naughty element, enjoy! tongue.gif
