Hi all the brothers
I called in to JB lion dealer, the SA told me 408T is having huge cash discount, do you guys have any idea?
Besides, the major service cost is how much for the car?

Thanks rx7!!!
i used to have an email address ending with rx7 as well, my dream car. so 80k km of service cost is 2k plus. How about the turbo version? Seriously considering this model, Mazda 3 and Ford Focus. And i have found a Mazda 3 MPS 2nd hand Year 2011 selling at RM120k also Oh my godness, i am confused |

QUOTE(RX_7 @ Feb 15 2013, 09:06 PM) yes,i am in exactly the same situation like u.but i prefer conti car,so that's y focus is my second choice.but i think i may end up getting the 408 becos focus is too crampy as i am about 6'1 foot n i prefer the sportier interior look in 408. Bro, i am close to six foot as well but then, i am so inclined to the torque vector system on the focus as well as the handling. not to forget its free services and the dual clutch to me, focus is more sporty. and the 1.6THP isn't really much impressed me if compmare to the focus 2.0 which is having a good performance as well so puzzle continue *i don't feel much for the THP toruqe, since i am driving perdana V6 twin turbo, unless it is a sport car then the story is different |

QUOTE(Pug7980 @ Apr 12 2013, 10:50 PM) I got my pug today! 2.0na aster gray. Enjoying every bit of it. The key got to find key holder, if not easily got lost. Haiya feeling like want to sleep with the lion.. why dont you take t version? last i checked is having 10k of discountQUOTE(skyblu3 @ Apr 13 2013, 03:40 PM) My wife and I finally made the decision to get the 408T this morning....Dark Blue. the 10k discount no more?will be getting the car in a week time, hopefully. We actually couldn't decide which to take. 208 3-doors? Or 408T. we were even considering the 508S. But she prefer the 408T eventhough it may not be as fancy and stylish (interior and exterior) as the 208 3-doors. She chose 408 for the space, comfort, full leather, etc etc...and of course, pick up. oh yeah....now peugeot is giving free Ipad for 408 and 308. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Apr 30 2013, 01:46 PM) You are most welcome bro. The power is addictive. There are more powerful cars, but nothing to match at this price. The handling is at another level, simply superb! Push her on twisty roads, just sticks like a leach. Handling is better than more expensive Contis like Beamer and VW - E90,E60,Passat & Jetta. really on par with e90 e60? jetta yes but not bmw,at least i dont think so.As for air-con,all our bros have said it's cold after a good tint. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ May 1 2013, 12:35 PM) Not on par, better! I know it is hard to believe the 408t handling is better than E90 and E60 cos these are Beamers, a premium brand. Handling depends alot on suspension setup and chassis. There's a line between good handling or comfort. Going either way is a compromise on the other. BMW have done a very well balanced suspension setup. They have struck right in the middle,ie good handling as well as comfort. This does not mean handling is the best,it is a balance between handling and comfort. Newer Pugs have gone more towards improved handling. This is the reason why the 308t,408t and the 508s are a little harsh over potholes. When handling level is raised,it will be at the expense of comfort. I've owned E46, E90 and tested ones mentioned. thanks for your clarification towards my noob. because i tested the e90 for town driving under the speed of 60km/h, hence i asked you on this. So 408t is better on stability. How about 208, have you tried it out? |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ May 2 2013, 04:29 PM) I suppose town drive is a bit difficult to gauge a cars potential. Since I had owned a E90 previously,I know the car well. I have pushed both cars,E90 and 408T on twisty roads. 408t is definitely much better on handling and power. My E90 was 320NA. so how is the the NVH between 408t and e90? what is the reason you want to dispose e90? i luv e90 320d so much, too bad even used one at 150k is not within my budgetI've not tested the 208,but some our bros have. They think it's a great little rocker! |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ May 3 2013, 09:49 AM) On NVH e90 is better, especially harshness. E90 rides potholes and road irregularities very well. I've already sold mine. It was a 2L NA. 320d is superb car,I love that car. That was my first choice, but could only afford a used one. i see that point of view too, even thought i always tempted to get 525(e39/60) or 325/320d(e90). Test drove 208 yesterday, the GB jerky is there whenever i stopped at the traffic light, didn't notice it when i tried 408t two months ago. And to sum it up, the difference of 408 2.0 vs 208 1.6 is not that far.You are right 6 - 7 year old 320d cost around 150K. Maintenance on the car of that age will be high. For the next 5year ownership you'll spend about 50K. So at the end of 5years you'd have spent 200K ( not taking into account interest on loan). In the case of 408t,after 5 years it is only 126K since warranty will cover replacement parts. That is the main reason I sold off my e90. Of course power and handling on the 408t is better! So the 408t is a more fun car to drive than my e90 with lower cost of maintenance! by the way, eurofrance Jb offering pre-reg 408 T of 12k discount 2012 model, rm125888-rm12k. and pre-reg 408 2.0 2012 discount rm6/8 forgotten. then 307t also discount rm10 pre-reg 2012. 2013 model, rm8k for 408t and rm6k for 508 std. and i also noticed a lot of discount in the market even for T/H brands. The automotive industry is getting hotter which is a good sign for us p/s:by looking at the 408 2.0 price, it is not advisable to get 407 used at rm8xk right? i am crazy for so many type of cars.... |

another thing to share, i asked the the sales manager(not sure, perhaps branch manager or boss) why 308 is having so many battery issue and depollution error. he said this, 408 is meant for sub countries like us, and it can even run on RON 83 that's why it dont have the problem of depollution. battery wise, the original equipped one is lousy brand, if you claim warranty, they gonna replace with delco which is of better quality

QUOTE(YFY @ May 31 2013, 10:04 PM) Hi jfcheong, froom kluang? i m from kluang, just that not a 408 owner, damn i Thank you for adding me onto the list. I noticed that your car is also Black (one of the minority in the group). It is however very nice, prestigious and distinguishing. I also like the white but is worried about it upkeep and also white tends to turn yellowish in time. As for the profile pic, I think it is the same source as yours, except I did a little editing and added the Peugeot logo in the right left corner. BTW, I am also from Johor, Kluang and I get my 408 from the new Peugeot "Blue Box" in Batu Pahat. |

QUOTE(eusened @ Oct 21 2013, 11:05 AM) I drove a VW Sharan to Taiping yesterday, it took around 2/3 of the tank, roughly RM150 petrol (Ron95). why not 5008 vs sharan?Well, the driving experience is not bad and German knows how to make car. In the whole trip, I dont really feel that I am driving a big car or I am being ignorant but I am impressed. But then in the end of the day, I still like the naughty element of my car. Powerful and fast. Why I say so? 1. Driving at 140 on Sharan, I feel that the car is slightly floating. I think it is because the car is high and too light for that size. It is totally not under power, but I doesnt like to drive fast if the feeling is not right. 408t running at 160 is still steady 2. Way different tuning of the car. Sharan will be all time at 6th gear even when you are driving at 80. This make Sharan is fun to sit in because you dont feel the jerking of the car. But then, I am power hunger beast Then again, I am coparing 230k to 120k. LOL |

QUOTE(eusened @ Oct 21 2013, 11:18 PM) I am just sharing based on my experience. Not to put down any car, just to tell you guys buy 408 with no regrets. i m not trying to pin point or whatsoever, i am trying to say that different cars segments have different target audience.Sharan is one of the best 7 seaters because of leg rooms. Yet, if anyone still feel that I am being unreasonable, please accept my apologize of my lack of experience on all other cars. Sharan is aim to provide a family outing all purpose vehicle, which i believe the suspension setup is to provide comfortable experience for the passager While in another hand, 408T is being setup a little harsh compare to normal car. if you are taking 5008 & sharan to compare, i would say it's a fair comparison as we are looking at how is the car maker able to make a balance between comfort and stability |

QUOTE(daniellee84 @ Nov 11 2013, 06:01 PM) Given all the posts here has generally been about bad experiences with SA, service, battery etc, we might forget how awesome this car really is. saman??? hopefully you are not that bad luck like my case, i drove at 107km/h at 90km/h zone, hence...... and i kena twiceI drove to kuantan and back over the weekend, and I gotta say I have never had so much fun driving long distance before. The way the car attacks the turns and slopes with ease, gives you the acceleration when you want to overtake, or smoke some rempit making a pathetic attempt to tailgate you. I love the 408t. If you have a free weekend, take a drive to kuantan with it. Nice curves on the karak, then followed by long smooth straights with very minimal traffic on the east west highway. Unfortunately I think I kena saman. Again. QUOTE(@Henry@ @ Nov 11 2013, 07:31 PM) I did not jump start that day. The technician replaced the battery immediately. i think that's contributed by jump start the carWhy replacing battery affected the power steering? Any words from Peugeot? |
