Initially no issue with my SIII one Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). It auto connect everytime. Eversince I updated to Jelly Bean (4.1.1). It won't auto connect any more, need to manually connect. I never update my car firmware on this issue.
*
I wonder if we could approach Peugeot to update Bluetooth software? So many of us have problem with auto connect. Quite cumbersome to manually connect after every startup! My wifes old Nokkia auto connects. So obviously the car's software needs an update to support newer phones,I think!

I remember sometime back, someone complained about Jelly Bean not auto connecting. Perhaps Peugeot has done update for the new cars!

Yesterday I was driving my 408t and suddenly I could hear click clik sound on the dashboard. I was cursing like hell for the money spent no this crap.....took out all the things in the compartment, glove box etc......drive again and the stupid sound is still there. Damn!

Then, I was thinking of booking an appointment with sc for the rectification to be done soonest possible before I embarrassed myself in frontal of relatives and friends.....

Suddenly, I realize it was the sun visor that is making the click click sound as I was driving. I took it out from the clip to block the sunlight shining into cabin from side window and when I flip back to original position, I didn't clip it back. That explains the click click sound.

Finally, I am a happy pug owner again....hahaha

Jus to share my experience here......

Ya. My 408t is a bit bouncy too. Have already pump tyre pressure to 2.5bar which is about 36psi. The driving is great, but wife complain back is bouncy. Coz im fetching my baby and wife. Can we tune the suspension to softer settings? Anyway to reduce the bounciness?
*
It's not possible to tune to a softer suspension. However you can reduce the bouncy effect by changing to normal profile tyres and softer suspension systems. Bear in mind, this will be a compromise on handling.

I m only using 31psi. About 230kpa. So far, the ride is very comfy.
*
If you on stock tyres 31 psi is below manufactures recommended minimum. 31psi will be more comfortable but for this car on low profile tyres, recommended minimum is 2.5bar or 36psi for light load. With 31psi you'll see uneven wear on your tyres after a while, the outer edge will wear off quicker.

hi guys i heard pug 408 turbo is not really for performance car is that correct because some of them say that this car turbo is thin and if u used them hard then the turbo will break down is that correct ?? hope can hear answer from you guys.
*
Don't know what criteria is used to qualify a car as performance car. I can certainly tell you the 408t has exceptional performance for a family saloon! Of course there are other saloons with better performance. Price is the factor!

Now lets talk about the turbo unit. I like you, was very concerned about the Prince engine used on Pugs cos I too heard about engine problems. Before buying my car I began to research and read everything on the Prince engine. There has been complaints of defective turbo units. These were fitted on early 308t which came with EP6CDT engine. Since then the engine has evolved. Our Prince is EP6CDTM. The M refers to the mods carried out on this engine. 8 mods were done addressing reliability issues. That includes a new designed turbo unit. Bro jfcheong has posted the 8 mods at the initial page for the benefit of all.

So far none of the turbo owners have complained about the engine per sa. There was one complaint about a sensor, not the engine or turbo! That was sorted out and he's a happy customer. To be honest,it is still early to gauge reliability and there are no grantees! All I can say, for the past 8 months I love my Lion's roar! So for the now bro, don't worry, get out there and unleash your Lion! thumbup.gif

Happy Lunar New Year everybody  rclxm9.gif

what do u guys pump in to your car for 1.6T? 95 or 97?

recently i try out 97, and it seems like i'm not getting good FC with 97, it is showing 11.2l/100km, normally i can get around 10.6l/100km with 95
*
Hi bro and happy CNY. Running this car on RON97 is a waste of money. The engine is tuned to run on RON87. So RON 95 is more than sufficient. Since your car is new, your present FC is normal. After the 10K service it will be better. Ofcourse good FC finally depends on your driving style! I'm slightly heavy footed and I now get 9.3L/100km city driving.

Actually RON97 does give a smoother ride and idle....but the co$t  blink.gif

This probably is true with EP6CDT engine and friends of mine who drive 308t have said this too. However as EP6CDTM is tuned to run on RON 87,RON 97 makes absolutely no difference, other than a bigger hole in your pocket! I've been using RON 95 for the last 8months,the engine is smooth with perfect idle! Doesn't miss a beat! In fact my engine has gotten even more smooth over the period!

Quick question: is the 408 1.6 turbo engine the same as 308 turbo engine?
*
Both are Prince engine, but not the same! 408's engine comes with 8 mods, making it more reliable and few more horses.

You'll really enjoy this car on that stretch,as the car practically sticks to the road at the curves! You are right,be careful, the handling is addictive. Don't get carried away!

Hi all 408 owners,i am sort of undeciding whether to get the turbo or the 2.0NA.in town,i normally drive at about 60 to 80 kph whereas in highway just 100 to 130 kph only.I had tested the turbo, it was so powerful.I plan to use this car for at least 5 to 7 years, so I am worried about the turbo engine might be causing problems in the future.any advise?and any 2.0 owner here why u chose 2.0 instead of turbo?
*
Hi Patrick
NA comes with a tried and tested engine,it is reliable. With the turbo,it's not all about speed only. Yes it has decent power and gets to high speeds very quickly. More importantly, it has good low end torque to get one out of a dicey situation! Sometimes you need quick acceleration to avoid danger, thats when this car delivers! The car comes with additional safety features. Any one of the additional safety feature may play an important role in an unforeseen event, hope such an event does not happen, touch wood!

I'm sure you would have read all the info here at this thread. I've said it a few times that this turbo engine carries 8 mods over the old Prince, addressing reliability issues. There's easily a dozen or more of us who got our Lions just after the launch. Not a single engine complaint. In addition you've got 5 year warranty.

Road tax is lower and better FC. So city or urban you save, every mile you drive! IMO.

There will be no significant dif between that. On paper, 1.6T will have a better FC than 2.0NA. However, I think my FC will be higher than some NA owners even mine is 1.6T. I am quite an aggressive driver. So, its more to your own driving style.
Overall, the dif of FC will not be that noticeable.
