The gear oil is too expensive for the 6 speeder gear box, I have check with a workshop which is selling the gear oil with the brand Voltztronic ( not sure the spelling ) this companny is OEM for BMW and Merc in Europe, it is suitable or Peogeot 6 speed gear box also, guess what , it is only about RM 60 / Liter, why Peugeot charge up to almost 2 K, what justify this ????

it is made by the japanese (oil for 6-speed), sent to france, repacked then sold to malaysia. the distance itself bumps up the price ridiculously high. hope it helps.

Still it is a rip off !!

Try to look for Groupon , I got mine for RM 380, Rikecol from Japan, top up 200 extra for a more high spec tint for front and back, so total RM 580.

Wow ! Right choice for me for the 408T

Why our Lion got so much brake dust come out ? it is harmful to health ?
Yes a good tint is important for this Lion, after that , 20 C feel very comfort even on day time, I go for Rikecool.

after 3200 KM, my fuel consumption is 11.4 L / 100km, the engine feel still tight, may be after 10K service will be batter.

The rain drop sound is very loud on the roof, the insulation need to improve on this area........

1) This rattle appears to be very common. There must be something a little off at the manufacturing plant. I've complaint twice, but still have it.
2) A good tint helps.
3) All Pugs seem to have this slight left pull. I don't think Peugeot Blue Box are setup for alignment jobs. I will be trying one of those alignment specialist soon.

I think the rattle noise are from the front plastic fender not from the door. doh.gif

I think all 6spd owners will participate as it will be lowering cost. The question is how do we organize the petition,to reach all 6spd gb owners. You are right it will take time. For that reason we should start now.

Based on lowpro's info,we can hold on for a while. If Nassim is looking into this, which they should, then it is great. At the same time I feel a petition from us owners may add an impact as customer concerns! Open to suggestions!

Btw,what is latest on your car registration, able to retain your old number?

Hi I am newbie here,
I got my pug 408 turbo 4 months ago, so far so good.
Last Friday was the first time I had a long distance drive with my new car from KL to Melaka.
When I drove over 130km/h at the highway my car felt very bumpy but the steering is still steady. Its so bumpy that my wife can't even type massages with her iphone.  At certain point the car felt like sliding to left and right when I over take a big truck. I never had this experience with my old car(camry 2.2 1994).

Anyone had the same experience?
Thanks

Hi,

Same feeling here, what I will do is change into 215/50/17 tyres, try soft tyre like Toyo.

speed below 200 km/h should be OK with 215/50/17 tyre.

Hi ppl,

I just noticed 2 more problems:
1. Fuel smell outside car in the morning right after starting engine
2. When driving, Radio volume goes up louder by itself. It's more noticeable when playing via USB drive.

Any ideas:experience?

Thanks.

Hi Wjchay

The fuel smell is due to the unburn fuel when the engine is cold, normally the RPM is higher in the morning or when the engine is cold , which burn more fuel to help to warm up the engine faster, our Lion is much better when compare with Camry, the petrol smell is even stronger, guess no problems with your engine.

Radio will get louder- this is to help u to hear when the ehgine rev at higher speed, this function found in Camry and most of the new car now, our Lion is so quite

Get on the highway ......is 170 km/H
This Lion hit 170km/h so easy like Camry 2.0 hit 120 km/h.

It is advisable to switch it off, theory is to make sure is load free upon start up. Not sure if you have heard about this before, if there is a house power failure (blackout). It is advisable to turn off all the appliances to prevent power rush to appliances. So, the same theory applies to our car electronics parts as well, hence I will always ensure the aircond is switch off before turn off the engine.

That was before, now got relay and timer, your aircon is not run immediately when you turn on the ignition, it delay few second right ? another thing to consider is too much on / off of the air con can damage the aircon switch also.

My car got towed on Saturday night to kota damansara and I made a call to them just now, doesn't seems like they are fixing my car now.

Maybe I choose the wrong branch?

Called care line, they told me that priority given to customer who did appointment.

I always mention that service center should look into the breakdown issue seriously as the owner don't have car to use when the car is breakdown in the workshop, service is pre-plan while break down is unexpected issue, everybody will panic unless those have spare car at home. this happened not only to Peugeot, even The T & H brand also the same issue.
I had an bad experience with my T brand car, braking problem right before Raya tme, the service guys insists not to repair it for me, it is still under warranty car, I have to take the risk to travel with the brake problem. how is that........the top brand of Japanese car icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Trust me, long distance drive, this 408T is super save, I pump full tank at JB, drive down to Singapore, (heavy jam at custom ) then next day drive back to Shah Alam, and still enough fuel to go to PJ for service. how's that, 130km/h to 150km/h most of the time. much better then the SAGA FL........
