QUOTE(Termibait @ Feb 3 2013, 11:25 AM) I m only using 31psi. About 230kpa. So far, the ride is very comfy. If you on stock tyres 31 psi is below manufactures recommended minimum. 31psi will be more comfortable but for this car on low profile tyres, recommended minimum is 2.5bar or 36psi for light load. With 31psi you'll see uneven wear on your tyres after a while, the outer edge will wear off quicker.

Another thing i realise, the steering wheel jutters when stopping car from around 90 to 110kph. i felt the vibration like uneven disc or perhaps that's the way pug's ABS works. I'll upload a video later. To simulate cruise around the speed range, let go of ur hands and brake (not emergency braking), watch the steering wheel shake. i believe some1 did post something similar in the previous topic. any1 else experience the same? QUOTE(matsukatsu @ Feb 3 2013, 09:24 AM) Talking on fuel, my 408NA had some 'hiccups' last 2weeks- this is just after 10k service. My engine had behaved rather erratically ( rpm interval jumping within small band) and its just like hiccups- for lack of word to describe. Traced back n thought it might be contaminated fuel +water. Didn't remember which station but my lion really felt like "mabuk on whiskey" Anyhow, only able to bring in for servicing 1week later to Balakong SC. Service is pretty good & had left my lion overnite. SC cleaned up the spark plugs and run some diagnostics. Found out there is some sort of carbon built up. There is no sensor error or any detection earlier though. Cut short, lion is now healthy & running about. Service is FOC. I was suspecting fuel contamination that leads to incomplete burning hence carbon built up on spark plugs.Just wanting to know if other puggies had same issue on NA b4 n same mabuk like characteristics? Plus, BHP for my lion tak ngam lah. Dunno why but not as smooth. Had been using Petron. Possibly sensor adapted to regular fuel pumped? Something wrong with BHP leh. My motor auto shutdown itself everytime i stop at traffic lights. Shell, Caltex, Petronas, Petron all no problem. This post has been edited by schwarzenegger17: Feb 4 2013, 02:42 PM

Don't know what criteria is used to qualify a car as performance car. I can certainly tell you the 408t has exceptional performance for a family saloon! Of course there are other saloons with better performance. Price is the factor! Now lets talk about the turbo unit. I like you, was very concerned about the Prince engine used on Pugs cos I too heard about engine problems. Before buying my car I began to research and read everything on the Prince engine. There has been complaints of defective turbo units. These were fitted on early 308t which came with EP6CDT engine. Since then the engine has evolved. Our Prince is EP6CDTM. The M refers to the mods carried out on this engine. 8 mods were done addressing reliability issues. That includes a new designed turbo unit. Bro jfcheong has posted the 8 mods at the initial page for the benefit of all. So far none of the turbo owners have complained about the engine per sa. There was one complaint about a sensor, not the engine or turbo! That was sorted out and he's a happy customer. To be honest,it is still early to gauge reliability and there are no grantees! All I can say, for the past 8 months I love my Lion's roar! So for the now bro, don't worry, get out there and unleash your Lion! This post has been edited by SKYjack: Feb 4 2013, 07:54 PM
