QUOTE(jessyeo @ Apr 7 2013, 02:07 PM) Hi Skyblu3~ Yeah, yesterday my hubby and I went to have Korean food there and straight to Speed City to see ppl drift + burning their money on the track. Sorry for that. Next time horn twice for more attention coz its common if you horn once and we thought we are blocking somebody else. wow, speed city is so near my place and yet i never knew it existed till i googled the location! do they have a mini race track there? can't find a track layout in their website.

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Apr 7 2013, 06:47 PM) I'm not sure if aggressive is the right word, but certainly taking your Lion out for a good run once a week keeps her roaring healthy! I'd say 150kmh for 30mins once a week! Actually I usually drive at 140-160kph.at night, shoot up to 180kph...

RM 6 per person to see the drift and RM 5 per car for parking. Quite exciting seeing them to drive in high speed. Just dislike the tyre smells. You should call Kah Loon Wong and Andrew to drop by if got free time every Saturday night.

Thanks for the info SKYjack. The 408 Turbo looks like it has the most capable engine in the Peugeot line-up. How about acceleration and torque? Can it beat a Civic 2.0L and/or an Altis 2.0V?

Thanks x800. In fact I've driven my colleague's 408 to and from our lunch hangout. It seemed quite fast. Problem is I didn't have time to outaccelerate a Civic or Altis. Not trying to be a hooligan. Please don't get me wrong. Just want to hear from owners who've got more experience, if you don't mind.

Can it beat a Civic 2.0L and/or an Altis 2.0V? Civic 2L and Altis 2L produce just under 200nm torque. To achieve that the engine has got hit about 4500rpm. 408t puts out 240nm at 1400rpm. Not only is the torque higher, it's at a very low 1400rpm. This means 408t will pull away much quicker while the Jab boxes are pushing hard to get up to 4500rpm before they can produce 200nm. You need 2.4NA engine to match 408t acceleration!

But not sure abt Altis, but based on the experience on had a T. Wish in my family. It will be no match with Prince Turbo. However, I went for a test on the Golf MK7 last Sat. The torque and pickup of this car will easily smoke Prince Turbo away... No wonder they call MK7 as Global Car!!

Some correction, VW took out the supercharge from MK7. And I just noticed yesterday, MK7 weight around 1.8tons at the gross weight. Gosh....

Can it beat a Civic 2.0L and/or an Altis 2.0V? Both cars won't have the torque to beat the 408T. In real life, the Civic and Altis would probably output around 155Nm to 165nm of torque, while the 408THP would probably output 205Nm to 215Nm. On top of that the 408THP has a better range compared to the Japanese NA because of the turbocharger. But the previous generation Civic 2.0L supposedly is still capable of 0 to 100 times in full automatic D mode in 9.9s. Respectable but still not capable enough in topping the 408THP. The Altis 2.0V does it around 10.xs, which is even worse than the Civic. The Civic R would be a different story altogether but it also sits in a different price range.

The refinement is good. However, my wife first sight on the car, straight away told me she don't like the car. Haha.... Maybe due to too pricey and smaller car? She even told me, such 160k price car don't come with leather seat?!?! Lolx... However, at a driver perspective, it's such a GOOD car. Am still waiting the comparison between MK6 and MK7 from Kenso. My friend own MK6 but he didn't go for test drive on MK7, so unable to comment the performance in between. Anyone did the comparison?

Same reaction to my wife, she even tell me not to test drive..becos for her is not attractive at all and waste of time to have a look. Lol
