If your house wiring/modem/various cables are fine, then it may just be that TM is changing stuff around in your area.

I used to have bouts of instability that lasted 30min to 2 hrs at regular intervals. The first octet of my IP address ranged from 106 to 172, 175 and up to 220. Was being bounced from address to address like a ping pong ball.

Then last week i noticed that my IP address started with 10. , and that address didn't change till today. I no longer had a dynamic public IP address. Am no networking expert, but I believe I have been given a static private IP address. That's bad if u want other computers to "see" u online and communicate with your pc. The upside is my connect is rock-solid stable now. I have yet to try enabling IPv6 to see if that'll give me back a public dynamic IP address.

dun use the internet for anything else... disconnect the other devices... even then not guarantee

Steamyx download and upload speed are too Low so it causes the problem.

While using hypptv, cannot use ur streamyx internet at all only you can have a smoother experience.

celaka... my home since yesterday no connection... already inform cs... say wait for their technician to come and prepare to pay rm50+.... fucking lousy company..

The payment of rm50 should only be paid if the problem lies on your side (eg: internal wiring, router problem etc etc). But if the problem lies on tm side, they will waive the charges. That's what my friend said, at first he also protest why need to pay rm50 yada yada but when they do the troubleshooting, it was due to the power failure at the street MSAN cabinet, so the charges is waived.

Anyone experience random disconnect issue pass few days ? 15-20 min dc once.

A short while after I posted that, I saw them digging up the underground power cables for the 3rd or 4th time this year, pumping out water and splicing cables. I decided to wait and see. After they finished, my connect was rock-solid and at full speed. Guess the TM cabinets were getting bad and intermittent power due to water damage.

And yes I'm still sucking on thumbs and toes waiting for some reward offer from TM ...but I'm not holding my breath or feeling optimistic about it.

You may find some improvement if u experiment with the following:

Try Google DNS or Open DNS instead of TM's DNS
If you're on IPV6, try flipping over to IPV4 (or vice-versa)
Try viewing youtube on Google Chrome...it seems to be faster at times than Firefox in my past experiences.
Got any wardrivers/cheapskate neighbors leeching off yr wifi? Secure yr network and change the pw.

I have installed tm streamyx 8mbps in May. The SNR is 26 and line attenuation is 8, both are consider excellent. the connection is perfect in the morning and evening, but i facing DC problem every night from 9pm onward, check the SNR, it left only 10 and below. the SNR remains lower even after u reboot the modem, unless u reboot the modem on tomorrow morning, the SNR would back to 26.

Day 1,
I try to change the modem, same thing happen. Lastly, i decide to call 100.

Day 2,
Unexpected, TM provided the very good service, they able to send technician within 24 hours. First checking, technician check the port and cable, everything is good, so he just changed some setting in my modem, ask me to monitor it. Unfortunately, the problem is still happen, same situation.

Day 3,
i called that technician, he said will request to change the port for me, he promised that the job will done in the same day also. I received his call after few hours, the port had been changed and the SNR is higher than before.

Finally my problem solved. My internet never drop since the port changed, the SNR is now stable at 28, line attenuation is same. Thumb up for the best and fast services by TM technician.

haha...i thought im the only one getting this ip's range. Getting this ip's since a week ago if not mistaken..was thought my TP-Link router acting up and the fun part is if i were to check my ip's (whatsmyip) the site reported i'm on 175.xxx.xxx ip's range...strange. Are they re-route our line or some aliens (you know what i mean) sniffing/monitoring behind our back....?

I am using Streamyx 4 Mbps 88 plan right now. Back in 2010 that speed is so reasonable. Siap terlebih2 orang kata. Then at this era, it's .............. considered SLoW! I just wondered the cheapest u guys paid for 8 Mbps is how much?
