torres bro, among the 1st batch buyer same as me biggrin.gif
dont worry about the airbag,if the airbag malfuction there will be a airbag warning signal pop up at ur SID
for the airbag harness check, they just wanna check the socket wiring under seat is proper tight up

happen to some preve, the airbag wiring stuck at the seat when user moving the seat, this cause a airbag warning signal pop up

some info on airbag(page 13 for airbag harness)
http://www.ngycp.org/state/ky_clone/ngycp_..._Airbag_Sys.pdf
*
Its mainly because of the height adjuster of the driver seat. When the seat being lowered to maximum, it may apply extra pressure to the airbag wire hardness that may cause malfunction in long run.

The service bulletin is to inform all service dealers to reroute the airbag wire hardness so that irregarding of any height adjustment of the front driver seats, it will not affect the functionality of the driver seat side airbag.

And also why no recall for passenger seat, as there is no height adjuster to begin with.

Cheers

Thanks all for ur replies. Actually i am happy with the technician's skill and attitude. When i go around to the service bay, i can see they handle the car properly and not hesitate to talk to u about ur car problems.
Maybe those at front desk need to update their technical knowledge and communication skills. If they had explained technically like bro Allen, maybe less misunderstanding.
Cheers again.

TBH i dunno if i got the helicopter sound. I rarely do sudden braking. I did try sudden braking, got thud thud sound. is this the sound?

Should've join satay TT last weekend so that someone can testdrive mine.

Anyway, i have clocked 8k++ in 3 months. Maybe the sound went out already.

Has anybody come across the following problem?

Half way driving the car, suddenly u feel a slight jerk, then ur car loss power, engine didnt die, press pedal still got rev sound, but car wont accerelate and speed keep dropping, engine faulty indicator light appear.

Need to stop the car, wait a while, restart engine then only can drive again, it happen randomly.

It happened when I was in Singapore, when I'm back to JB (I stay in KL), I checked with proton, they reflash all the software in the car, but after 1 week the problem happen again, I went to SS13 SC, they remove the trouble code, the problem come back again 3 hours after i take my car from the SC. I am kinda frustrated now....

the thud thud sound / helicopter sound got 2 reason. 1 is abs thud thud sound when u press harder at high speed. the other is the brake rubber melted at ur disc brake (for new car). after wear and tear, the melted rubber will be scratched off due to long usage and thus the sound gone. anyway this is what the mechanic explain to me and they seem very confident abt that. i thought only my car have this problem. seem lot preve also have this.

Hello everyone.

I just receive my IAFM+ CVT yesterday.

Everything looks perfect

I found when i press the pedal, there is some lagging or sluggish before the car move. Or when during traffic jam, the car seems jerking.

In another word, I don't know whether the gearbox not smooth or the engine not smooth.

Is just fresh from show room less than 100km on the ODO.

Do I need to ask SC for ECU update or whatever thing that I need to do during my first 1k service?

By the way, is the car come with remote boot open? and how to open it?

and how we set the alarm, when i press once - only driver door open, and when i press again all door unlock.

Thank you for all the feedbacks smile.gif

Tq Allen.

Need to familarise with FB but seems to search not so straightforward. For newbies in LYN, they will have a huge task to sift through all the pages.

It's interesting on the turbo pressure hose. Presumably to reduce expansion? Can feel difference especially on stock boost below 1 bar?

For metal pressure pipes, the ends are still using silicone joints and clips. Thus expansion would still happen at the point of least resistance at the silicone joints?

About the jerking, i face it too but not a problem to me. Mine is a CFE. I think the jerking could be the characteristic of CVT or the engine, not good at low rev.

When you do first 1k service, the system will prompt for whatever update or recall that your car needs.

Remote boot open, ah...you need to press the open car door button for a few seconds, then it opens.

There is no alarm sound, only indicator at side lamp that you have lock or unlock. Can mod to have alarm but need to send it to accessory shop to do.

1. to open the car boot, keep pressing UNLOCK BUTTON till the boot open.

2. keep pressing LOCK BUTTON to find car in the parking lot. The lights will flashes.

3. Press LOCK and UNLOCK together to toggle between opening the driver door only or all doors when UNLOCK BUTTON is pressed.

Read the manual bro.. wink.gif

Jerking, happen to my IAFM+ CVT too...you will get use to it...and yes there is some lagging and sluggish, the car is heavy and that's the CVT characteristics, checkout the Punch CVT Q&A in the front page(dunno why I have not feel that in my bro Inspira whistling.gif ) ...someone using the Firestorm have better pickup during stop&go ..maybe you can go to Preve FB page to get the info.. smile.gif

Lastly, I don't think there is any ECU update for the IAFM+ CVT, only heard about clutch adaptation can be done..I have not done it before..

jerking is because the transmission is using a clutch-based converter, not tradition torque converter.
pro is less power losing, cons is jerking laugh.gif

Thank you everyone for the precious information.

As i get my car yesterday late evening. I only managed to play around with the audio units e.g. bluetooth pairing and streaming audio from my phone.

I still wondering how to change the SIC display until i found the button on the right side tongue.gif.

Even my 4g dongle and GPS still in the box smile.gif
