Hi bros, how do you properly check a Nexus 4 before knowing there's nothing wrong with it? smile.gif
*
a list of defects that has been found on some of the units. some are hardware, some are software. can be fix. check few posts below it

for me i'd just check for cracks, dents, and screen condition. but the time i was given my N4 i was already too mind-blown to be sane for checking, hahaha. but anyways, these are the stuff i can think off, as other stuffs are practically basic knowledge, check camera, flash, buttons which i'd assume you already know. stuff like sensors i dont really know ways to check, but by then when you'd discover defects you'll probably need to send it back to LG service centre already.

The dude when the upside-down camera, just my 2 cents, i think they wrongly assembled the camera? tongue.gif
*
It wasn't the camera module.
refer back to my photo, the accelerometer y-axis is off the chart.

went back to the gardens this morning for an exchange.
future buyer i suggest you check really thoroughly as it is extremely troublesome if you find out something's wrong once you stepped out.

not interested with xperias tongue.gif ..

no... not S3... it's a rip off! exynos 4412 still using A9 core... mali-400 gpu... pentile screen... omg...

it's fast if all u do is just flip home screen...  cool2.gif

if want to see real performance, check with benchmarking tool.

my new Antutu score: 19106. no overclock yet. just optimization on stock kernel and rom.

i still have not decide if i want to work on to release a new ROM. last time i did it for SGW, it took so much effort:

- 10% create best ROM for SGW
- 90% answering noob questions like "i follow everything but cannot flash your ROM! help!"...  doh.gif
*
shocking.gif shakehead.gif how do you get that score ?? mind to share ? what kernel + ROM did you use since there is no overclocking ..i might wanna give it a try .. and what binding ur N4 actually have ??

QUOTE(azrash @ Jan 23 2013, 11:43 AM)
i see, so in aosp source no table for faster yet? rugi! IINM i saw someone posted fastest in the xda cpu binned thread, i wonder how low can you go for that one tongue.gif

so right now, the only way to take advantage of the 'faster' build, have to flash a kernel that have the preset frequency table for faster, or by manually UV-ing?

btw those that have faster cpu, if you are using a custom kernel, most likely they have the preset for faster built in too,can check at your fav kernel's thread. no need to UV further to enjoy it.

*
as far as i know .. i think just harsh latest kernel the only one support for faster cpu binding .. so i might give it a try since im on FASTER binding rclxm9.gif bought from US play store

QUOTE
Features:
Changed Display color calibration to my own liking -- values
Added support for people who have CPU with FASTER binning.
So now cpu supports Slow, Nominal, Fast and Faster.
UV accordingly to have best stability. min UV is 100 so also not so less either
Updated OnDemand governor

motley pun ada okayyyy tongue.gif they both added the frequency table around the same time last year. harsh went for it first iinm. both made adjustments later on.

Safe UV by default for nominal, fast, and faster binned chips.

funny how we are having allegiance over kernels. even intersectRaven's kernel pun support faster i think. power of open source, once a kernel dev put it, the others can test them too and add to their kernels! this was how the hsic bug was fixed. it took several kernel devs and engineers from Google and Qualcomm to find the solution! although we are still unsure of how the final code from Google would look like. but the devs has implemented a similar workaround.

Went Hotspot today.

They are having all the Steinheil Ultra series screen protectors, quite a number of stocks in fact.

Bought a Ultra Crystal Dual (front and back) for RM99.

Poetic bumper spotted as well.

Definitely a place for all N4 owners to check out  rclxms.gif , forget about going from Digi to Digi asking whether they have accessories for sales anot.

One of the Digi staff even asked me whether I want S3 casings anot  shakehead.gif

[addon]  Here's their FB page for those who cannot search it out.  smile.gif

if u go read harsh's thread, there are some comments made by franco about faux that stirred some hot arguments/ debate. i guess even developers also got their own 'geng' sweat.gif . by the way, i'm new to these stuffs, coming from blackberry dumbphone tongue.gif

sophan if you went through the Gnex thread pun can see a different battle. cm vs franco + other devs. I was following the gnex thread because i thought i might purchase one last year, but i waited, because i could still squeeze some juice from gingerbread.

that time the issue was some devs like franco and the rest were concerned about cm's implementation of their work. CM stressed that they implemented a different method because they have to support multiple devices, not just Gnex.

but hey even open source world have issues. but good thing is all the codes are in the open, so people can just check the codes and improve them. no need gaduh2. true spirit of open source icon_rolleyes.gif
